The coronavirus crisis that began in China has become a pandemic that virtually affects everyone and has had a negative impact on most sectors in each affected country. Stopped or very slowed down economies, collapsed health systems, population confined to their homes, increasing unemployment, lost tourist seasons and a wide range of other factors. Given the magnitude of the crisis, every day new data, numbers, percentages, forecasts and also many 'fake news' or hoaxes appear. In this new sea of data and information on the COVID-19, CIFAL Malaga has created a special section dedicated to the coronavirus in order to analyze all the keys.

The work activity does not stop at CIFAL Malaga and thanks to new information technologies it can continue to provide knowledge and context to one of the biggest global crisis in recent years. A section called 'Especial Coronaviurs' has been created in which the platform has great experts in different fields who in each webinar inform and explain the updated information so that users have a more understandable analysis and within a context.

The virtual meetings organized by CIFAL Málaga are led by top experts such as Carlos Seisdedos, a renowned international expert on cyber security; economist Juan Iranzo, former European Parliamentarian Beatriz Becerra, journalists such as Fernando Fernández and politicians such as the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, who who explained in the last webinar all the details of the management of the COVID-19 that is taking place in Málaga.

Open Webinars for everyone on the Zoom platform and a special information section on the CIFAL Malaga website

These and many other experts are part of the meetings that CIFAL Malaga has organized and will continue to do so to provide citizens with a platform where they can consult updated and explained information on the coronavirus. A time when, as Alex Mejía, director of UNITAR and the CIFAL Global Network, explained, it is necessary to "establish alliances between different countries and supranational institutions, as already established by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Health, economy, society...the coronavirus is affecting and transforming everything, so it is important to know the magnitude of the crisis, put in context all the data obtained so far and seek solutions together following the SDGs and maintaining an attitude of solidarity among nations

Now that the confinement has been extended until at least 26 April, we have a lot of time at home that we can spend on information and analysis of the situation. From CIFAL Málaga they have launched a series of live webinars so that anyone who wants to join can do so through the Zoom platform, completely free of charge. All you have to do is follow them on the social networks or keep an eye on their website to keep up with the day and time of the webinars.

For those who cannot be available at those times, but would like to know information from experts in all areas of this crisis, CIFAL Málaga is uploading each webinar to its Youtube channel. Thus, you can enjoy each webinar at the time you want. In addition, on the CIFAL Malaga website you can also find the section "Especial Coronavirus" where all the data and relevant information on this issue is posted.
