Dakhla hosts the 4th Sahara Forum of the MD from 5-8 December 2024
The city of Dakhla, pearl of the Southern provinces, is preparing to host, from 5 to 8 December 2024, the 4th edition of the MD Sahara Forum, a prestigious event which, over the years, has established itself as a key event on the national and continental scene. Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this Forum will pay tribute to two key moments in Morocco's recent history:
- The 25th anniversary of the reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, a quarter of a century marked by a strategic vision and far-reaching economic, social and diplomatic achievements.
- The 10th anniversary of the Southern Provinces Development Programme, launched in 2015, which has made this region a model of transformation, establishing it as an economic and cultural bridge between Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa.
This Forum, organised by Maroc Diplomatique, is part of a visionary approach aimed at bringing together political decision-makers, intellectuals and economic players to discuss the strategic challenges that will mark the future of the Kingdom and the continent. The theme chosen for this year's Forum, ‘King Mohammed VI: 25 years of Royal Vision, 10 years of development of the Southern Provinces - engine of national and continental progress’, reflects the ambition of a Morocco that is always on the move, anchored in its values and looking to the future.
The 4th edition of the MD Sahara Forum will be attended by influential personalities from the diplomatic, economic and academic spheres, underlining the international influence of this event. Guests of honour include
- Ms. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Assistant to the Head of Government, responsible for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
- Ms. Zakia Driouich, Secretary of State for Maritime Fisheries.
