"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, tackles current issues on the international scene every week.

This Friday, the radio programme will shed light on the repercussions of the latest NATO Summit in Madrid, explaining the new Strategic Concept and the focus on the Southern Flank. Carmen Romero, NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, will provide expert insight on these issues.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine will again be on the programme's microphones. A large IAEA delegation travelled to the Zaporiyia plant to monitor the state of the nuclear facility, which is under attack on the ground. Meanwhile, there is controversy in Moscow over President Vladimir Putin's treatment of the late former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev. The energy crisis unleashed after the Russian attack on Ukrainian territory also persists. The international expert analyst and Atalayar contributor Lucas Martín will give the key points on all these issues.

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the conflict in Russia over the figure of Mikhail Gorbachev and the situation in Argentina, which has seen an assassination attempt on the figure of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 2 September from 22:05 to 23:00.
