"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses every Friday the most important issues in international current affairs. 

Benjamin Netanyahu may once again become Prime Minister of Israel after the last elections, but depending on ultra and radical parties; meanwhile, the internal situation of the Israeli nation is relevant at a key moment for the region with strange relations such as Saudi Arabia's with Russia, while Iran continues to try to extend its influence. On the other hand, the Arab League Summit in Algeria has revived old Palestinian demands. Marta González Isidoro, an expert journalist on the Middle East, will shed light on these issues.  

Meanwhile, Lula da Silva won the presidential elections in Brazil against the right-wing Jair Bolsonaro, who will not make the transfer of power easy, although he has stated that he will comply with the Constitution. The country is highly polarised with strong divisions between the two sides of Lula da Silva and Bolsonaro and faces many challenges. Carlos Malamud, senior researcher on Latin America at the Real Instituto Elcano, will explain to the microphones of "De cara al mundo" how the situation in Brazil is likely to evolve.  

The war in Ukraine continues to develop with the Russian withdrawal from Kherson and the resumption of Ukrainian grain exports following Moscow's return to the agreement. On the other hand, there are issues to highlight such as the situation of the Nova Kharkova dam, the impact of winter on military operations and the vulnerability of Sevastopol. Lucas Martín, an expert international analyst, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine, will give the keys to these issues. 

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the upcoming elections in the United States, Lula da Silva's electoral victory over Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil and Benjamin Netanyahu's electoral triumph in Israel through a coalition with radical parties.
