Emirates prepares to kick off Expo 2020 with five events
The United Arab Emirates will host five major regional and international events over the next ten days to set the scene for the hosting of the big event of the year: Expo Dubai 2020.
The list of events includes the 12th edition of the Al Ain Book Fair at the Zayed Central Library from 21-30 September where more than 100 exhibitors and publishers will participate in this new session. The Fair will also host 50 prominent personalities from the cultural field, in addition to writers, creators and artists.
Alongside this, the Emirates will host the activities of the eighteenth edition of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition from 27 September to 3 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre where the Supreme Organising Committee has intensified its efforts to host the largest event of its kind in the Middle East region.
The tenth session of the International Forum on Government Communication will be held in Sharjah on 26-27 September. The event will be attended by 79 communication experts from 11 Arab and foreign countries. The forum will discuss crisis management mechanisms through the use of innovative communication methods. In addition, they will try to determine the best way to use the government's discourse to society.
In Dubai, the emirate will host the sixth MEIDAM 2021 Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine Conference from 23-25 September, which will be attended by 1,500 doctors from 41 countries around the world, with the support of the Dubai Health Authority, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health.
As such, the UAE is preparing to host the historic Expo2020 event which becomes the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region. It is also the first global event where health security is guaranteed. In this regard, the UAE has maintained a successful vaccination campaign, with approximately 90% of its population vaccinated.
