Un miembro de la formación islamista Justicia y Caridad acusado de explotar a trabajadores en España
The Spanish police have opened an investigation into Mounir Benjelloun al-Andaloussi, a leading member of the Moroccan Islamist group Justice and Charity and president of the Spanish Federation of Islamic Religious Entities, on charges of inciting illegal immigration, violating Spanish labour legislation and failing to declare workers to the social security authorities.
Precisely, the Justice and Charity organisation of which he is a member is outlawed in Morocco because of its radical tendencies.
The police accused Al-Andaloussi of inciting illegal immigration, violation of Spanish labour legislation and failure to declare workers to social security, offences and crimes punishable under Spanish law, according to the Din Presse news website, as reported by Middle East Online.
The same source reported that the Municipal Police of Águilas, in the community of Murcia, opened a judicial investigation into Al-Andaloussi after carrying out a surprise raid on a company they own. The investigator was building a mosque in the region, which led the local authorities to discover a series of offences against the law.
Al-Andaloussi is accused of employing illegal Moroccan immigrants without an employment contract, and also of promoting the deprivation of legal rights by refraining from declaring these workers to the social security system.
He was released on bail of around 20,000 euros, but has to legally answer to the charges brought against him by the competent court, charges which can lead to prison sentences and heavy fines.
Al-Andaloussi is the owner, together with four of his partners, of a construction company called Mosa Construcciones Obras y Reformas. The judicial investigations concluded that this company was not authorised by the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia. Neither is it registered with the insurance institutions, and it does not make the legal declarations for the workers who work for it, as reported by Din Presse and also collected by Middle East Online.
The case of Al-Andaloussi is an example of the shady interests and greed of various radical Islamists in foreign countries using illegal workers, something that in this case affects the good image that immigrants from Morocco usually have in Spain.
