Marruecos y su apoyo al desarrollo sostenible
The international network of regional governments Regions4 Sustainable Development is organising the event 'Regions towards a resilient future: implementing multi-level action on the ground' on 16 June in Rabat (Morocco), in the framework of its 20th anniversary and its General Assembly.
Since 2002, it has worked to bring the voice of regional governments to major global processes and events on sustainable development. This high-level session will discuss the current state of adaptation and resilience, and the importance of regional leadership for the resilience of our planet.
The event will also present the joint statement of regional governments that will provide inputs for drafting the 'Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Declaration of Regional Governments towards COP27'. The event will be presented tomorrow at a press conference with some of the political leaders of Regions4.
This Thursday, the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra Regional Council is hosting the event with the following programme starting at 13:00 (GMT+1)
- Opening by Regions4. Natalia Uribe, Secretary General of Regions4
- From COP26 to COP27: unlocking action at regional level. Her Excellency Màiri McAllan, Minister for the Environment and Land Reform, Scotland.

- Rabat-Salé-Kenitra: conclusions of the host and introduction to the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra declaration of regional governments for COP27. Rachid El Abdi, President of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra Region
