Marruecos rescata 47 emigrantes y recupera 3 cadáveres en costas del Atlántico

Moroccan authorities have rescued 47 migrants and recovered three bodies from a boat that capsized off the Atlantic coast off the town of Imtlan, in the province of Rio de Oro, on Wednesday.

According to local authorities in the same province, those rescued were transported to the regional hospital in Dakhla for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Royal Gendarmerie and Royal Navy units were combing the area for possible survivors, the sources said.

The sources added that the authorities opened an investigation, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, to elucidate the circumstances of this migration operation.
