The World's Most Beautiful Bays in Dakhla

The countdown is on! Dakhla, the pearl of Morocco's southern provinces, will host the 18th World Congress of the World's Most Beautiful Bays from 27 November to 1 December 2024.
Everything is in place to welcome delegates from the 44 member bays of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Association from all over the world in the best possible way. They represent local authorities, elected representatives, public and private sector managers, academics, as well as representatives of civil society and the media.
Launched by the Regional Council of Dakhla Oued Eddahab with the support of the local authorities, the Dakhla World Congress will serve as a platform for dialogue, debate and exchange of experience on various issues related to the preservation and improvement of the bays and sustainable development.
With a strong African dimension, this conclave will also highlight the region's economic potential, its investment projects and its role as a crossroads for development in Africa and the Atlantic, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Thanks to the beauty of its sites, the quality of its accommodation infrastructure and its capacity to host major congresses, as well as the support of the local authorities, Dakhla is ready to welcome its guests and make a success of a memorable congress, the second to be organised by Morocco after Agadir in 2004.
After Agadir and Al Hoceima, Dakhla was admitted to the world organisation of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World in 2019 in Toyama, Japan. And it was in 2022, during the congress held in Cambodia, that Dakhla was unanimously elected to host this 18th edition.
The Congress programme includes the work of the Association's General Assembly, a series of workshops focusing on renewable energies and South-South and North-South partnerships, an African bays fair, a youth forum, the video competition awards ceremony, as well as a beach clean-up campaign and a series of visits to tourist sites in Dakhla.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover the natural and economic advantages as well as the charms of the world capital of water sports, famous for its white sandy beaches, its dunes and its lagoon.
