El Clásico en Dajla
Representatives of the Spanish La Liga recently produced a promotional video, highlighting the touristic advantages and the natural potential of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, which will be broadcasted a few days before and during the "Clasico", scheduled for this weekend.
In this context, LaLiga, in collaboration with the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Dakhla-Oued-Eddahab, has chosen the pearl of the South as an emblematic destination to shoot this promotional video that will be broadcast around the world a few days before and during this classic match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
The flags of both clubs were raised on the famous "White Dune", an imposing white sand dune in the middle of the lagoon, some 30 km from Dakhla and other nearby locations.
According to the organisers, the aim of this communication action is to promote the "clásico" and to give worldwide visibility to the different cities where La Liga has hoisted the flags of the two star clubs.
The Spanish League has launched a global communication campaign to position the "clásico" as the most awaited entertainment spectacle and promote it in the most exotic and spectacular places in the world, it says.
The city of Dakhla is one of 27 cities around the world that have been chosen to shoot this promotional video that will be broadcast on different sports channels around the world.
In a statement to the press, the vice-president of the CRT of Dakhla Oued-Eddahab, Omar Alaoui Belghiti, stressed that this advertising campaign has focused on several well-known sites around the world, noting that the Council has contacted the representatives of "LaLiga" in Morocco to highlight the pearl of the South, as a world tourist destination.
This publicity will allow the region to gain notoriety on a global scale, explained Belghiti, adding that the pearl of the South has become one of the most popular destinations for sportsmen and women from all over the world.
For his part, the delegate of LaLiga in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, Ignacio Gómez, thanked the close collaboration with the CRT to promote this city through this advertising capsule that will be broadcasted during the clásico, a highly anticipated match in the football world.
The choice was made on several cities around the world, including Dakhla, which is a "paradise" and abounds with ecological sites of exceptional beauty, he said, welcoming the enthusiasm of Moroccan spectators for the Spanish "LaLiga".
The city of Dakhla seems to confirm more than ever its status as a major sporting destination by successfully hosting several international events, in all disciplines.
