Juventus and PSG cryptoactives move 220 million on their first day
The football clubs Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) debuted on the crypto-currency markets with two digital assets (tokens) of their own, which registered a trading volume of 270 million dollars (220 million euros) on their first day, according to the Chiliz platform, the clubs' technological partner in this field.
The 'fan tokens' made their debut on the Binance, Paribu and Upbit crypto-currency markets. Despite the high volume negotiated, the market capitalization of the token of Juventus was 46 million dollars (37.7 million euros), while the Parisian club reached 51 million dollars (41.8 million euros).
Chiliz's fan tokens represent the voting rights of their holders in club polls, and also give access to "exclusive rewards" determined by the clubs.
Juventus and PSG are the first to be listed on the crypto-currency markets, but they are not the only ones. Other football clubs such as Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona, AS Roma and Galatasaray also have such tokens for their fans.
