Bellingham scored a superb goal and Kepa missed the target on several occasions

Real Madrid win a crazy game in Naples

Ancelotti says he is very handsome, but he also has his faults. That's how he settled the controversy over Kepa after his error in the overhead kick that gave Napoli the opening goal at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. That's all there is to it. The Basque goalkeeper is not two metres tall, but he is good in front of goal. With such a goalkeeper Real Madrid also made history in Europe. The club above all else.

The match was as crazy as that Italian city. There you can see four people on motorbikes, mafia injuries forced people not to wear helmets so as not to be mistaken for criminals and the clothes lying on the street are mixed with facades painted with absolute devotion to Maradona. Until Maradona scored that penalty in the 1990 World Cup in the same stadium where he was revered and sent Italy home in their own tournament.

Twenty-three years have passed since then, football has changed, although that stadium, formerly known as the San Paolo, has remained a huge mass of concrete that will sooner become a historical monument than someone deigns to spruce it up as the home of the current Italian champions that it is.

Inside, Real Madrid put order in its particular chaos of the season. Injuries, line-up changes, the derby, Ancelotti, Brazil... everything becomes relative when the team wins, even if it costs them and leaves doubts. If in Girona it was the introduction of Nacho, in Napoli it was Kepa's overhead kicking. In the first goal he measured badly, something similar to Casillas throughout his career, and Ostigard scored the first.

After the goal, it was time for white domination. Ancelotti put Camavinga on the wing to have one more midfielder and he likes that. Kroos, Tchouaméni, Valverde and Bellingham started and that pushed Modric to the bench. Up front, Rodrygo and Vinicius, but not as high as in other games because the Italian team's pressing was not as good and Madrid broke lines with a couple of touches per player.

Vinicius scored the equaliser from Bellingham's pass just six minutes later. Bellingham gave Napoli no time to recover and completed the comeback 10 minutes later with a superb power play and a precise dribble in the box to send the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half French referee Turpin gave Napoli an inexplicable penalty for hands by Nacho. The Spanish player was on the ground and the ball rebounded in from Osimhen, who even called for a corner, but the VAR came in and Zielinski made it 2-2, which Kepa almost saved with a good save.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper once again saved good chances under the sticks. He showed that his mistake over the top does not affect the rest of his performance and that was appreciated by Ancelotti after the game. He also had Rüdiger in front of him who had a great game in defence.

In the second half the Italian coach gave way to Mendy, Modric, Joselu and Ceballos, the latter after Valverde's goal which UEFA gave Meret an own goal because the shot hit the crossbar and the rebound hit the back of the goalkeeper's back and went in.

After the game, Nacho explained his crazy tackle on Portu in La Liga. He made it clear that he is not a "murderer", that he will serve his suspension, although he hopes the club will appeal to play in the Clasico and that he only cares that the Girona player is well.

Real Madrid came out of Napoli alive in their second big game of the season after losing the derby. Real were 2-0 winners away to Salzburg and Sevilla suffered another Ramos error as they conceded a late penalty to earn a 2-2 draw against PSV.
