Luis Rubiales appeared euphoric in the Luis Aragonés hall at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas to reinforce his position as president of Spanish football. The leader took the floor to clarify the facts of what had happened after the final of the Women's World Cup in Sydney.

Rubiales asked for "unreserved forgiveness of any kind for grabbing that part of my body in the box, forgiveness to the Royal House for a gesture that was not very edifying". He said all this while looking at Jorge Vilda and explaining that "they wanted to do the same to you as they did to me".

He then went on to explain his kiss on the mouth to Jennifer Hermoso at the medal ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in Sydney. "The kiss, the peak. I had the same desire as when I gave it to my daughters. Neither desire nor position of dominance. People understand" and went further when she announced that "it was a consensual kiss. Jenni picked me up off the floor and when she put me down we hugged and I told her to forget about the penalty. She said, you're a crac, and I told her "un piquito" and she said "ok".

"There is a false feminism. They have said that this gesture is harassment, sexual violence, without consent, assault... what women who have been sexually assaulted will think. They have tried to publicly assassinate me," he said.

Rubiales also attacked Tebas directly and "his puppets" whom he also accused of orchestrating a campaign to oust him from his post in Las Rozas.

As he defended himself, the camera focused on coaches De la Fuente, Vilda and Fede Vidal (futsal), his three daughters and his parents, especially his father who could be seen in great distress.

The cry of "I'm not going to resign, I'm not going to resign" was accompanied by a thunderous applause that even caused problems in the signal offered to the media who flocked to the Federation's headquarters.

Rubiales offered Vilda a renewal and salary of "500,000 euros a year" in a gesture that was also applauded by all present in Las Rozas.

After this, Luis Rubiales reviewed the economic data of women's football and ended his speech by repeating that he is suffering a "hunt that I don't deserve".

Once the event was over, the CSD announced that it would file a complaint with the TAD for very serious misconduct and the Madrid Public Prosecutor's Office opened a file for alleged sexual assault.
