The Real Madrid Foundation and Play Makers present the ‘Educational Football Programme’ for Morocco
Real Madrid, through its Foundation, is further establishing itself in Morocco thanks to its ‘Educational Football Programme’, which will begin in September 2025 at the Rabat American School with the participation of 250 children.
Roberto Carlos, ambassador for the Real Madrid Foundation, welcomed Hamza Megzari and Maroua Jrairi, co-founders of Play Makers, to Real Madrid City to present the Educational Football Programme, scheduled to start in September in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The collaboration is particularly noteworthy because Real Madrid is one of the most universal football clubs in the world and Play Makers is a company specialising in the development of elite football. Together, they are working to develop socio-educational projects linked to football that will provide a major social boost for the most disadvantaged groups.
This programme, which combines education with sport, will be run at the Rabat American School for 250 children. Play Makers and the Real Madrid Foundation are working to ensure that the project is also implemented in Casablanca and Tangier in the coming seasons, which would mean an even greater presence for the Madrid club in the North African country, where it is very popular among Moroccan fans.
The participating children will enjoy a special educational experience under the slogan ‘For a real education: values and sport’. The aim is to combine learning on the pitch with the development of important personal values such as respect, motivation and teamwork, as officially stated by the Real Madrid Foundation.
This initiative is another of the Real Madrid Foundation's social and sporting projects aimed primarily at groups at risk of social exclusion. The Rabat programme joins others such as the seven social and sporting schools that collaborate with Paideia, the Fatema Foundation, Manos Unidas, Hanan and the Cervantes Association.
