The revenge of Sanchismo
The perfect storm has arrived. We are already living in the next year. Queen Elizabeth II is dead. Long live King Charles. Don Pedro rules our destinies. Alleluia. We begin.
Sanchismo's obsession is to assault the judiciary. The PSOE has become so podemised that it is difficult to recognise Pedro Sánchez as a social democrat. He knows he is going to lose the upcoming elections. As a good Kichnerian Peronist he insists on muddying the playing field. The conspiracy of the "Madrid cenacles" is another of his chained lies. The day after his appointment in the Senate -with the invasion of more than 50 advisors- he allowed himself to be courted at the Casa de América by José Creuheras, the powerful president of Grupo Planeta, which maintains the leadership of Antena 3 and La Sexta. The servitude of RTVE, SER, PRISA and most of the digital newspapers confirms that in his media empire -including the BOE- there is only a glimmer of freedom left for the heroic free press. A hundred official cars collapsed Cibeles to present Salvador Illa's book on the first year of the pandemic, although we still do not even know the number of deaths caused by COVID-19, nor do we know the technical team that advised him to take unconstitutional decisions. Let him tell this to the families of the elderly who died without tenderness in nursing homes and to the health workers and pharmacists who died for lack of protection. The whole management was a success.
Sánchez has already gone into victimhood mode. Like the separatists. For him, governing is reduced to one word: propaganda. Stay in electoral mode. The truth does not matter. The message is to appropriate the sensations, emotions and even low passions of the most vulnerable groups. Pure Redondo philosophy. The day before his appearance in the Upper House, he met with "his people" in Moncloa. Curiously, the president answered by reading from the teleprinter. Questions from socialist militants, previously selected by his valido Bolaños. One more farce of his musical tour around Spain that will continue in Toledo, in the Palacio de Congresos El Greco: an open assembly in a closed space. Everything under control. To win the street after climbing so high in the Falcon is not credible. He cries like a magdalene because the populace does not love him. Nor does it vote for him. Seville was the first chapter. Attacks on Putin while we buy liquefied gas from him and omitting the protests of angry citizens. The banner silenced by his submissive press "Let Txapote vote for you!" is worth more than a hundred sweetened editorials of his Prisoe.
Let us not be fooled. Moncloa has only one short-term objective: to renew the Constitutional Court. It already controls the Congress, the Senate, the Attorney General's Office, the State Attorney's Office. It lacks the Court of Guarantees for Conde-Pumpido and his cronies to "stain their robes with the dust of the road". It is there, in this absolutist majority of 7 to 4, that Sanchismo will survive over time and space. This change is urgently needed for the government to "de-judicialise" the permanent coups d'état of separatism (amnesty for Junqueras, Puigdemont and the like), reforms of the Criminal Code to annul the crimes of sedition and the death penalty. to annul the crimes of sedition and secession, to give a free hand to the referendum in Catalonia and the Basque Country and to wash the image of Bildu and the ETA murderers; jobs, housing and pensions with the complicity of the PNV for the Basque prisoners and humiliation of the victims; constitutionality for the laws on abortion, euthanasia, "squatting", LGTBI norms, Democratic Memory, legalisation of all the Royal Decrees of the Sanchez period, putting the thieves of the PSOE in Andalusia (EREs and Professional Training) in the street; consecration of the laws that allow passing grades without passing; eradication of Spanish in almost half of Spain, allowing the expansion of Països Catalans to Baleares, Valencia and Aragón; annexation of Navarra by Euskadi, handing over Western Sahara to Morocco without going through the Council of Ministers or the Parliament and, if I dare say, outlawing VOX so that the right wing never governs. It is a return to 31. We must win the civil war against Franco, eighty-one years later.
All this and much more (laws for the exprópiese for environmental and/or national security reasons) can be applied to empty the Magna Carta of its content and, given this scenario, urgently propose a constituent process that allows the enthronement of the III Republic so that the extractive elites of the PSOE, IU, PCE, Podemos, ERC, Junts, PNV, EH Bildu, Compromìs, Más País, CUP, Comunes, PCR and Teruel Existe can divide their posts like the relatives of Castro, Ortega, the North Korean Kims, Putin in Russia. Compromìs, Más País, CUP, Comunes, PCR and Teruel Existe share out the posts like the relatives of Castro, Ortega, the North Korean Kims, Putin in Russia or the Kichners in Argentina. All that remains is to impose, with the consent of the TC of the new order, the rationing card proposed by Mrs Díaz, who talks to us as if we were devotees of Epi and Blas. Believe me. Carrefour, main sponsor of the Tour of Spain, buys Yolanda Caperucita's basket and turns against the sector.
Despite being against the Economy, Defence and Agriculture, "la modelistos" of Labour and Social Economy, the promoter of union demonstrations with mariscadas, says she has the backing of her party's world leader. No wonder; Don Pedro is lashing out in all directions to radicalise and stress Spanish society in these times of uncertainty. With the Court of Auditors and the CIS in his hands, Sánchez will survive the polls and take revenge by blocking any conservative government. There will be no alternative. This is the populist democracy that the entire social-communist Executive defends. I have written that this government is symbiotic and, therefore, communists and socialists - today reconverted into populists - need each other to reach the end of the legislature as much as the majority of Spaniards need each other to make ends meet. They are a government of necessity. Not necessary.
Dr Sánchez Pérez-Castejón arranged the meeting with Feijóo, with the blessing of the president of the former chamber of proles, Ander Gil. The times marked the level of sectarianism: 132 minutes against 27. No mention of the rest of the political forces. Sánchez does not listen. He has everything written down by his scribes. He even answers what he is not asked. On this occasion about ETA. The monographic topic was supposed to be the energy crisis. To put it in his own words, the president lied through his teeth. Without a tie and without decency. The two novel ideas (lowering VAT on gas from 21 to 5% and aid to cogeneration companies) were PP proposals like the lowering of VAT on electricity. Cut and paste - as in his doctoral thesis - better than anyone else. No to the deflation of personal income tax.
The catastrophic data on nuclear energy were totally false. The fifth generation plants are installed in two or three years (not 15 or 20) and the cost does not exceed three billion (he estimated 20,000). He deliberately omitted that waste is already being recycled. And that the rest of the world is currently developing 485 new nuclear power plants. Spanish companies are not investing in nuclear energy, now classified as green by Parliament and the European Commission, because this government, like Zapatero's, does not offer them legal certainty. This is what a state governed by the rule of law is all about. The first right of democracy after life and liberty. In fact, without legal certainty there is no democracy.
In a "skin-to-skin approach to the people" he accused the energy and media powers of wanting to oust him from government; of staging a coup d'état. A paranoia due to his narcissism, his distrust, his inefficiency and his bad faith. All at the same time. He is sick with power. To accuse Núñez Feijóo of having arrived at Genoa "paid" by the electricity companies is a villainy unworthy of a democratic prime minister. That's where I leave it.
Sánchez assured in the Palace of the Spanish Navy that the electricity companies are in the hands of the right. Let's see: A.M. Carmona, (Iberdrola), Elena Salgado (Endesa), José Blanco (Enagás), Jordi Sevilla and Beatriz Corredor (Red Eléctrica), José Montilla (Enagás), Narcis Serra (Naturgy). I seem to remember that Felipe González and Borrell were directors of several Spanish multinationals. Even J.L. Rodriguez Zapatero collaborated with PDVSA and even used their private planes. All of them from the PSOE. Telefónica is a graveyard of socialist elephants, not to mention how they have invaded SEPI, CIS, the Court of Auditors, RTVE, Indra, Correos, Loterías and the big television channels. Even comrade Vallés has become sponge-like after Lesmes' warning at the opening of the Judicial Year.
The face-to-face in the Upper House on Tuesday was not a debate. It was simply a trap for the PP to continue the string of insults that have occupied twelve ministers for three months. It will be like "the right and the extreme right". They don't fit any more. Citizens are desperate. The January slope has arrived in September. We are in the middle of the perfect storm. So much so that we are already living in next year.
The president has plunged us into perpetual uncertainty. He has fooled many for a long time. But he cannot fool us all all the time. Not a minute longer. He talks about transparency when he is the most opaque government in the world. It has not even sent the Minister of Justice to pass the test of our democracy in the European Parliament. He defends the corruption cases in Andalusia because he is defending the corruption of his own party. And that is why he allows Bildu and ERC to show him the way to the "Mesa del Diálogo". We said and we were right that they would not present an appeal to the Constitutional Court for the "murder" of Spanish in Catalonia's classrooms. And neither has the Ombudsman. The boy from Canet is still immersed in the Catalan mire. Once again it has to be VOX that defends legality. A pity about the decline of Ciudadanos.
The president of the General Council of the Judiciary accused the two major parties of the existing crisis in the government of judges and of causing the biggest mess in history. Carlos Lesmes threatened to leave office in a few weeks. The solution is simple: comply with the Constitution (12 members appointed by the judges, 4 by Congress and 4 by the Senate). This is what Europe demands and what the PP is asking for. The Socialists want the González-Peces Barba law of 1985, which elects the 20 members by politicians who are then judged (and acquitted) by those judges, to remain in force. Signing secret agreements with the PSOE is suicide. The offensive of the left and its media terminals to poison the judiciary is a transcendental issue for Sanchismo. With the TC, the Supreme Court and the CGPJ at its feet, this progressive government will cut up the third power of the State into portions (by territories) and create a plurinational legal autonomy that will allow governments to modify the sentences of the Courts and will put an end to equality before the law.
Moncloa will become the only power in power. Three in one. The Executive, the Legislative and the Judiciary. The next step will be to enshrine the single party. And the laws will be enabling, like the one that removes and grants powers to the General Council. We already know the experiments of '33 in Germany and the consequences afterwards.
It was heartwarming to hear Senator Núñez Feijóo, with warnings that his time had run out, plead with the Prime Minister that the PP would guarantee him governability until the general elections of December 2023 if he abandons his communist, separatist and coup-plotting partners. He cannot. They are united by their hatred of Spain. And even if they lose the elections they will control the institutions. Sánchez is a hostage of the partners who propped him up in 2018. And they won't let him fall because the public money is coming to an end. Just as JxCat will not let ERC fall because it has 1,200 senior officials and four thousand more members, sucking from the teat of the Generalitat. These next 16 months are going to be too hard. Autumn and winter may prove to be excessively hot.
To make matters worse, the drought is stubborn. Fires have scorched rural Spain, the livestock sector is on the brink of ruin; the countryside has lost 8 billion because of the drought. Electricity, gas, animal feed, fertilisers and poor harvests in wine and olives augur a dramatic scenario. The macroeconomic data provided by Calviño are fake. We are not growing more than our EU partners. We have not yet reached pre-pandemic production.
Unemployment is the highest of the large EU countries and so is the CPI (10.4%). The perfect storm culminated with the rise in interest rates. Mortgages will be a hymalaya for citizens who have bought a flat and the world of bricks and mortar will feel the ECB's claw to fight inflation. The result: the recession will be extended by at least two or three years. We have to agree with the president: nobody knows what will happen or what Putin will do in the future. We are in a state of doubt. Uncertainty is the worst ingredient for facing the future disunited. At the moment, with the extremist and anti-system alliances, it is not possible to reach a second Moncloa Pact. And without pacts it is impossible to live in a democracy. We are going through a war economy -glory to Ukraine 200 days after the struggle for its independence and to all of us-, but the government is not reducing public waste by a single euro.
So much for energy sovereignty and, worse still, food sovereignty. The outlook is bleak. Yolanda invades Planas' competences, she asks the CEOE with all "animosity" to accept without complaint the new SMI (1,100 Euros for 14 payments) and a collective bargaining that absorbs the CPI. Intervening the supermarket is an open window to shortages, to the low quality of the products in line and, in the end, to rationing.
These guys import everything directly from Buenos Aires, Caracas and Cuba. Pedro is not the problem, as the VOX senator declared. The problem is the government as a whole. While Interior Minister Grande-Marlaska mistreats the victims of terrorism at the UN, former Socialist minister Maria Antonia Trujillo proclaimed in Tetuan that "Ceuta and Melilla are vestiges of the past" and called for "an open and sincere dialogue" - meaning unconditional surrender - to end "an affront to Morocco's territorial integrity". Tomorrow they will hand over the Canary Islands. Sánchez, as always in the great ravings, is silent. Shut up and concede. A perfect storm without a drop of water. Sanchez's revenge will be to survive.
PS. Queen Elizabeth II is dead. Long live King Carlos III. And Carlitos Alcaraz is preparing to storm the ATP number 1 if he wins the New York Open. We are left with that hope.
