Ductile and malleable

These qualities also apply to people to define those who find it difficult to maintain their thoughts and actions in a serious or rational way, but rather the opposite; that is to say, those who are actually conformist, complacent, condescending or accommodating. 

On the other hand, a material is said to be malleable whenever it is capable of being beaten and spread out into sheets or plates or can be given a shape very different from the original without actually breaking. This quality, by similarity and closeness to ductility, also applies to people who are easy to convince or dominate if they can get something out of it.  

It is not easy to find people who possess both qualities to a high degree or who exercise them assiduously, without blinking, without moving a hair when doing so and who do not hesitate to justify their changes of opinion instantly, forgetting everything said previously, even if said change of opinion or certainty has occurred in a matter of a few hours or in a mere handful of minutes. 

Here, where we have everything, we couldn't be without this type of person and we find them very often among the political elite; surely due to their personal and moral deformation, a lack of predisposition towards sincerity or as a form of personal or party subsistence or survival, something they have been taught from their very first steps in the world. 

The assiduous plebs or herds of sheep that follow them, applauding or cheering, are fully aware that in a matter of seconds everything can change, even the track record or basic discourse maintained until very recently and defended with bravery and courage. If this is totally or partially changed, it doesn't matter, they throw themselves into accepting and praising the new message with the same or greater force and enthusiasm as the previous plan, and it doesn't even matter if this happens frequently or in short spaces of time. 

I believe that today, among us, there is no one left to be vaccinated against this evil that affects our politics so much, as well as the insensitive politicians who embrace it, exercise it and execute it with commendable ease, even knowing that they are lying, that any honest person does not believe them and that it cannot be true that something is one thing and its opposite at the same time. 

It is very easy to hear our illustrious president of the government or his cohort of leader-loyalists everywhere, repeating his arguments word for word, who are nothing more than mere followers of their beloved leader with unusual North Korean-like force, true specialists in the hardest claque (a term used - nowadays somewhat out of use - to define a group of people hired by the company to applaud wildly, whatever the result, especially at shows, in theatres or at the opera). They all live and thrive on the easy and contagious outpouring of body language and the false and forced smile showing off their well-cared-for and whitened teeth. 

Both in Spain and beyond its borders, they are more than well known for their games of chance, their deceptions and their self-defined as ‘change of criteria or opinion’ by Sánchez in everything he proposes, commits to in an electoral campaign or in any international forum, in the face of a natural or non-natural disaster and the real results of all those commitments or promises. 

He is a true specialist in doing the opposite of what he promised, proposed or presented in his programmes; his word has long since ceased to have any value and the worst thing about it is that he doesn't care in the least, neither he nor his aforementioned slimy followers; true accomplices in his hoaxes, lies, false hopes and in deceiving the most needy in knowingly fraudulent channels of hope even though they are aware and conscious that they will never be fulfilled or that their final results will be far from what was formally and seriously promised in their day. 

I don't know if this situation and way of life is the ferocious result of some kind of serious mental illness, or just a way of political and economic subsistence for those who approach the sun that heats up the most at certain times in the hope of obtaining pingues benefits, fame or as the way to perpetuate themselves well warmed up in the only comfortable place where they can do it, since their real abilities and qualities, do not give for much more than for pretending, playing crazy or following the flow to an enlightened one who lives from the story, the, lying and taking advantage of the place he occupies in a personal and familiar way by egocentrism, mental deviation or authentic conviction always immersed in the path of evil and deception. 

They are people who love no-one except themselves and a few others close to them, who despise the common good, who spend lavishly and with great luxury for themselves without worrying about the debt incurred or what will happen tomorrow, and who enthusiastically pursue everything and only what brings them financial gain or false personal laurels of pure and futile vainglory. Although in reality, their complexes harbour a negative side that leads them to live in fear in a tremendously reinforced shell to prevent any physical or moral reproach from reaching them; they do not understand that nobody will spit in their face, shout at them or dare to call them a felon or something even worse. 

Furthermore, due to these fears, they tend to be easily frightened in riots or in the face of any unfavourable public reaction; and if this happens, they must be quickly protected as defenceless children to prevent the breaking of the glass bell under which they move or in which they take daily shelter. 

Their anger, typical of any autocrat or the worst and most tyrannical dictator, quickly appears at the slightest sign of contempt, disagreement or doubt about their personal abilities or the effectiveness of the plan presented, however simple it may be. Everything is the fault of the political opponent or adversary; self-correction and reflection, singing the mea culpa, do not exist in his vocabulary or in the way he thinks or acts, so it is very difficult for them to react as expected of a trained and thorough leader. 

Of course, if necessary, they do not need much time to change their decisions, words, promises and plans, or to deny what they had maintained until recently. As I said, a clear example of being as flexible and malleable as possible.
