Sanchez's letters

Council of Ministers room. Moncloa Palace

As if it were Jesus Christ giving instructions to his disciples before launching them to the four corners of the world to preach his word, the first thing Sánchez did to inaugurate his umpteenth government was to leave them a common letter, although apparently personalized.

Sánchez's intended surprise effect on his cabinet was short-lived in the form of a missive left on the table where the councils are held; which, by the way, after five long years is still there unperturbed and seems to me to be too small to hold the weekly macro councils of ministers, given that when you see them sitting around it, they look like a bunch of schoolchildren crowded together to be in the photo of a class of practices in which they visit any company where they do not have spaces -large enough- for so many unexpected and disenfranchised schoolchildren.

But on second thought, possibly, this alleged "secret" did not last at all because he did not want to consider it as such, and it was just another distraction propaganda maneuver, apparent and incongruous of someone who only lives of and for it because at this point, after so many juggling games, we all know that, except gunpowder salvos, he has nothing to offer of weight, substance or great added value.
In these epistles -the man who has broken the most promises or, in other words, who has 'changed his mind' the most times in transcendental issues for the progress of the country he claims to govern- asks his acolytes and tireless followers to be coherent and to fulfill what they have promised or pledged.

Because of his always lousy "virtue" of not clarifying anything, muddling it up or leaving everything to free, good or bad interpretation, he does not tell them what promises they are talking about. If it is about those that everyone clucked along with him ad nauseam during the last electoral campaign, despising and denying the amnesty, the forgiveness of sins against the homeland or the cancellation of the different and great debts, or is it that they are referring to the ones that they all clucked along with him ad nauseam during the last electoral campaign; Or are they referring to those that we now know he is going to fulfill because he has made them to those who have raised him to the seat of power and that -despite the fact that they had been simmering in the oven for months- were systematically and categorically refused as the apostle Saint Peter denied being a follower of Christ, when asked if he was one.

But, he may also be referring to the fact that each and every one of the members of the cabinet will have to fulfill the promises -pronounced solemnly, publicly and with a clear and powerful voice- during the act of their inauguration as ministers, a few days ago in the presence of H. M. the King; who kept at all times a face of few friends, because he already knows where each one is limping and does not trust a hair of Alibaba or his gang of recognized and non-compliant rustlers.

How sad it is to live in front of the gallery, deceiving left and right to all and sundry, and on top of that, having to put on a face of not having broken a plate when, more and more frequently, both publicly and privately, they reproach him for his constant and serious non-compliances. But I believe that this only happens when the person in question is honest, coherent, clean and decent. When the opposite is the case, they put on a kind of impermeable layer through which criticism, harsh words or harsh and accurate complaints slip, even though they portray them for what they are and leave them completely naked before public opinion.

A man full of impudence and incongruities as the one perpetrated lately with his propagandistic trip to Israel and the Gaza Strip to preach and even demand in the name of the EU, peace, harmony and understanding between the factions in dispute, maintaining an execrable and deplorable balance between both, when, in parliamentary seat, he has just promised us that in Spain he will erect a wall to separate the Spanish in two halves and that he will continue to encourage policies that discriminate and divide them more and more.

Someone who, despite holding the rotating presidency of the EU, makes his institutions dizzy, giving them long delays in answering their questions or requests for clarification, or poisons their late and diffuse answers with lies, fallacies or half-truths so that the problem is not clear and, therefore, the required and fair correction to it is delayed in time for more than a year.

He is a trunk of surprises and juggling effects that he employs and uses at will to pretend that he is on the right track, while he never apologizes for his mistakes, even if they are flagrant, and that he has become a real machine for crushing ministers, once he has used them, as with toilet paper, to hide his rottenness, defects, abuses and malpractices, while he leaves a country like Spain in debt with a debt and a deficit so exorbitant that not even our grandchildren will be able to pay it off and bring it to reasonable terms.

He sells and buys favors as he pleases, without paying any attention to the origin of his patrons and interlocutors. He does it with a double and clear objective: to increase and tie up the number of his committed followers and fundamentally, to satisfy his own needs, but yes, he does it in such a false, dastardly and disguised way, that he always pretends that he does it legally and democratically or for the good of Spain and the Spanish people.

We will soon know what promises these letters referred to.
