More crisis in Europe
Perhaps it is necessary to think that the personal interests of some and the authoritarian or visionary populisms of others have led to great confusion among millions of people who do not know where they stand, who see their quality of life deteriorating, their principles and values vanishing in the hands of freaks and unscrupulous speculators, their jobs worsening, the prices of the shopping basket rising and those who promise impossible things or propose absurd enemies gaining more support due to the general weariness.
The review of the situation in each country is quite pessimistic, although we always have the hope of being able to recover the pulse, the sanity, the rigor and the seriousness required in a situation where almost anything goes in order to get to power and stay in power no matter what.
We have been seeing and suffering this in Spain for many years with unnatural pacts. In France the extreme left receives the support of the extreme right to overthrow the government by the political calculations of Marine Le Pen who only seeks to reach the presidency and end Macron who came to change everything and has been able to do almost nothing. In the European Parliament the Socialists have voted in favor of the candidates of the extreme right in order to move forward the new commission of Mrs. Von der Layen, which included Teresa Ribera, with many blemishes on her political capacity.
And in Germany, almost ruined, elections are being held where the extreme right is picking up the inconsistencies of the coalition of Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals, weighed down by an economic situation suffering from the inexplicable decision of the conservative Angela Merkel to close the nuclear power plants and to throw herself into the hands of Russian gas.
Many fear the return of the peculiar Donald Trump to the White House for its consequences on trade, multilateral relations, NATO, the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. But many believe that it could be a big bang that will force Europeans to really wake up, to recover principles and values and avoid the influence of those who are doing so much damage.
