King Mohammed VI's gesture has been praised

The Royal Pardon is a richly symbolic and singular gesture in the Moroccan Monarchy, since it testifies to thewisdom and compassion of His Majesty the King, may God assist him, while affirming the sovereignty and unity of the nation.

This duality, far from being paradoxical, is the key to Morocco's resilience and prosperity. By Royal grace, Morocco continues to write its history, reconciling tradition and modernity, justice and humanity...

On the occasion of the Throne Day of this year 1446 H - 2024 G, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God perpetuate His glory, has kindly granted His pardon to a group of people sentenced by various courts in the Kingdom.

These people number 2,476, and this royal action is deeply rooted in the millenary tradition of the Kingdom's monarchy. Moreover, in the multidimensional evolution of Morocco, faced with multifaceted challenges, the Royal Pardon stands out as an act of sovereignty and profound humanity.

Indeed, this gesture, rooted in Moroccan tradition, embodies both the defense of national integrity and Royal compassion towards its subjects, thus reaffirming the nation's fundamental values.

We are aware that our adversaries are constantly trying to turn some against us, but they come up against a wall. Morocco is moving forward, focused on its future, while our adversaries are wasting their time and resources attacking us.

The Royal Grace, by its very nature, demonstrates Morocco's ability to face challenges with a clear and unified vision, guided by the values of Guidance and Reconciliation.
