In his speech, he explained that Morocco had mobilized all necessary resources to ensure exemplary organization of the event. Thorough preparation, technical arrangements, and effective institutional coordination allowed the smooth and efficient conduct of this 93rd session.

Hammouchi also reiterated that security is a global approach, based on the indivisibility and complementarity of efforts. Fair cooperation, shared trust, and collective work among member states remain, he said, the essential foundations for confronting transnational threats.

The innovative decisions adopted during this General Assembly were widely praised. They addressed major issues such as the fight against organized crime, the dismantling of cross-border scam centers, strengthening police capacities, and promoting the role of women within law enforcement, thus opening new prospects for international security.

A key moment of the session was the decoration of Hammouchi with Interpol’s highest distinction. According to a statement by the DGSN, this prestigious honor recognizes his exceptional efforts in promoting regional and international security, as well as in consolidating partnership values between Arab countries and Interpol.

INTERPOL also commended Hammouchi’s constant commitment to supporting international cooperation in law enforcement, his contribution to a safer and fairer world, and his distinguished role in strengthening Arab and international security cooperation and joint action against transnational organized crime.

The award ceremony took place in the presence of the INTERPOL President, the Secretary General, members of the Executive Committee, as well as delegates from member states and heads of participating regional and international organizations. This solemn tribute highlighted the esteem enjoyed by Morocco within the global security community.

Bringing together more than 800 delegates from 179 countries, this 93rd General Assembly once again underlined the importance of global cooperation in matters of security. Marrakech emerged as a strategic hub for discussing policing priorities, exchanging best practices, and forging joint solutions to growing transnational threats.
