A shot that shoots Trump towards the White House

After the man who attacked Donald Trump while holding a rally in the town of Butler, in the state of Pennsylvania, was killed, we will have to wait longer to know for sure what the attacker intended and whether or not there were connections with groups or organizations interested in the former president not settling back into the White House
The split second in which the fired projectile barely grazed Trump's ear has been the best boost that the candidate of the Republican Party could imagine. Had the shooter been right, we would have had to be analysing the multiple scenarios that would have opened when the most controversial of the candidates for the Presidency of the United States in history disappeared from the scene. But, having survived the attack, and especially having behaved like a hero after being shot, he will undoubtedly turn those images into the best and most lasting propaganda campaign he could imagine.

When everyone in the United States and the vast majority of world leaders were wondering if Joe Biden would end up throwing in the towel to make way for a Democratic Party candidate who, at least, did not inspire pity for his increasingly frequent mental slips and physical blunders, Trump goes and suffers an attack, carried out according to the New York Post by Thomas Mathews, a member of Antifa, the extreme left organization that Trump himself tried during his administration to have designated as a terrorist organization. Resurfaced precisely with great force in 2017, it is the most violent reverse of the extreme right. Its members define themselves as Marxists, Leninists and anarchists, always calling for their performances, which usually lead to riots and extreme violence, through social networks.

The opinion institutes will soon give us the picture of how many points the advantage that Trump already had in his electoral race against Joe Biden has soared. But now it is worth thinking that, even replacing the current president with another candidate, the advantage obtained by Trump surviving the attack, and showing a brave and aggressive attitude just seconds after rejoining, will be very difficult to counteract by the rival they put in front of him. And if earlier there was speculation about some names, among which that of Vice President Kamala Harris stood out, to face Trump, the Democrats will have to think very carefully about the candidate's profile, so that he can add some heroic trait like the one that now encumbrates Donald Trump.

As if that were not enough, the attack has occurred in Pennsylvania, one of the states that are considered decisive to tip the final balance in the election on November 5. And the issue of the possession of weapons in the hands of citizens has also been very controversial. President Biden himself had signed a regularization last year so that the most common weapons - pistols and rifles - do not end up in the hands of people suffering from mental problems, with a history of domestic or criminal abuse in general. Trump, a staunch supporter of the National Rifle Association, has suffered an attack with one of the weapons whose free possession he defends. The paradox may have been the reason that he now has a much clearer path back to the White House.
