The Three Cultures Foundation is once again programming shows aimed at schoolchildren, both in Primary and Secondary Education, so that they can learn about the history of our ancestors through stories, music and Mediterranean rhythms. The legends, lullabies, love songs and songs of festivities told and sung by the grandmothers of our great-great-grandmothers in a time of coexistence between Christians, Muslims and Jews. All this with the participation of the "la Caixa" Foundation.

These shows, which include audiovisuals and didactic texts, are part of the "Mediterranean Fridays" project, which proposes a journey through the enormous variety of stories, sounds and rhythms of Mediterranean culture, with the help of great artists and experts in the field.

At the concerts, as well as learning about the different types of music, students will also be able to see and enjoy stringed and percussion instruments of Arab, Eastern, Sephardic and other Mediterranean origin, from the Egyptian daf to the Turkish tabla, the doholla, the riq, the tar and a countless collection of tambourines.

Each day there will be two shows, at 10.00 and 12.00, complemented by visits to our headquarters where you can appreciate Moroccan architecture and art made by skilled craftsmen such as the zellij or mosaic, the gebs or sculpted plaster, the moucharabieh or latticework for lattices or our beautiful kouba or polychrome dome.

The cycle is aimed at students from 7 to 16 years old and interested schools should send an email to [email protected]

Days: 7, 14, 21 and 28 October and 4, 11, 18 and 25 November.

Time: 10:00h and 12:00h (guided tours)
