Moroccan fashion makes its way into SIMA'41 thanks to the Three Cultures Foundation

The Three Cultures Foundation

Once again, the Three Cultures Foundation is promoting the presence of Morocco at the main Andalusian fashion events, such as SIMA'41, which takes place from 7 to 14 March in different emblematic spaces in Seville, with a fashion show by the firms Hanout Boutique and Atelier Oumaima Lamrani, on Wednesday 13 March.

Aware of the importance of fashion as one of the economic engines of a country and as a resource of enormous value for development, job creation and the survival of craftsmanship, the Three Cultures Foundation has been organising and participating for years in different fashion events to present in Andalusia the work of new and established designers from the neighbouring country.

Thus, last November, as part of the We Love Morocco programme of activities, a major fashion event was held at the Foundation's headquarters to showcase the collections of seven Moroccan designers, in collaboration with several Andalusian accessories firms.

On this occasion, the Moroccan designers Meriem Nour and Oumaima Lamrani arrive from Morocco to present their collections for the first time in Seville, thanks to the participation of Tres Culturas in SIMA'41. An event which, in its 21st edition, is committed to internationalisation and craftsmanship and which, in addition to the fashion shows, will feature parallel activities such as the CODE Talks, meetings with the designers in which Nour and Lamrani will also take part.

Thus, as part of their programme in Seville, on the morning of Wednesday 13 at 12.00, both designers will hold a meeting with the public to talk about their careers in the world of fashion, about the collections they present and about the points they have in common in their work, such as their commitment to quality and sustainability in each of their creations.

The firms

Hanout Boutique

Morocco, in the historic medina, where its production workshops are located. Hanout is characterised by timeless ready-to-wear with excellent finishes, made with top-quality materials. The firm creates two collections each year, as well as capsule collections, based on the personal universe of Meriem Nour, a self-taught fashion designer with artistic training in different countries.

The city of Marrakech is part of the DNA of her creations, as well as her predilection for rock and seventies culture. Her latest collections are influenced by the Victorian era, alluding to the time when Meriem Nour lived in England. The firm also offers an interesting selection of accessories, including bags made from natural leather, and a new men's and unisex line.

Atelier Oumaima Lamrani Alaoui

Although Oumaima Lamrani's university studies focused on Mathematics and Science, her learning evolution continued in the field of fashion, her true vocation. She currently lives between Lyon, France and the Moroccan city of Salé, where she combines her work in the atelier of the firm she runs with teaching at the Lasalle School of Fashion and Design in this country. Her collections range from ready-to-wear to tailor-made kaftans, always with an avant-garde air. Her work has been presented at various national and international events in cities such as Madrid and Lyon.
