The Portugal-Spain alliance, protagonist of the INTREPIDA plus programme of the Fundación Tres Culturas
In a different context and in different ways, but with the same disposition, this is how the Fundación Tres Culturas faces the 'new normality' to continue with its activities.
On June 3, the events of The INTREPIDA project (Internationalisation of Female Entrepreneurs from Spain and Portugal toward Insertion, Development and Alliances), were launched. Second phase), is an initiative framed in INTERREG Spain-Portugal (POCTEP 2014-2020) and financed with ERDF funds from the European Union.
Throughout the summer and through online activities, different cycles have been held, but it is now in October when multiple proposals will be held which show, on the one hand, the varied affinities and connections between Portugal and Spain, and on the other, the enormous potential of women entrepreneurs in both territories.
The big event in this programme is the 1st INTREPIDA plus forum in Seville, which will bring together businesswomen from Spain and Portugal on October 21 and 22, always maintaining all the security precautions imposed by the current situation. For this reason, work will be done halfway between face-to-face and online interventions, but without giving up an experience that allows for the exchange of ideas, the creation of synergies and learning among businesswomen from the Euroregion (Andalusia, Algarve and Alentejo), including spaces for networking, talks on sales and marketplaces, mindfulness and other activities. As a highlight, it is worth mentioning the intervention of Ângela Lin, head of business development of Tmall Global of the Alibaba group for Spain and Portugal.
This Tuesday the 6th, the Portuguese film cycle was inaugurated, as a prelude to the Iforo INTREPIDA event in Seville, with the screening of "A portuguesa", a film directed by Rita Azevedo in 2018. The following Tuesdays in October will see a selection of short films and the long films "Terra Franca" and "Jogo de damas".
Portuguese music will be played by Irma (8 October), a Lisbon-born actress and singer considered an emerging figure on the Portuguese music scene, while literature will feature Dulce María Cardoso, defined as "the most important writer of her generation" (Público), who will present her most ambitious work, "La vida normal" (Seix Barral), on October 28.
In addition, on October 15 the exhibition "Sentir la Tierra" (Feeling the Earth) will be opened, curated by Cristina Ataide and featuring works by the Portuguese artist Graça Pereira Coutinho, who combines different means of expression such as painting, sculpture, photography and installations. Both will meet with a small group of people for a very personal guided tour.
This intense programme offers two more appointments, the first of which will take place on October 14, just one day before the International Day of Rural Women, an event commemorated by a wool-dyeing workshop in San Nicolás del Puerto, led by Estela Ribeiro and her artisan weaving firm Ovelha Mãe.
Finally, an original event has been organised to bring together a world that is unknown to many people: the observation of the universe. This is an opportunity offered by Planetario Albireo, directed from Granada by Malena Sánchez, an entrepreneur whose vocation for popularising science led her to start up this business initiative a decade ago. The Astromares Association will be present at this event, as an example of active citizen participation.
The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation is the main beneficiary of the INTREPIDA plus project, together with the following partners from Spain and Portugal: Huelva Provincial Council, Mancomunidad Desarrollo Condado de Huelva, Núcleo de Empresarios de la Región de Portalegre (NERPOR), Núcleo Empresarial de la Región de Évora (NERE) and the Municipality of Faro. The INTREPIDA plus project has European funding from the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal programme (POCTEP).
