The Three Cultures Foundation begins its 2025 film programme with a cycle dedicated to the International Film Festival and Common Memory of Nador, with three sessions on Tuesdays 14, 21 and 28 January, showing some of the award-winning films from the last edition. With their profound narratives and richly constructed characters, these award-winning works reflect the history, social concerns and environmental challenges of their respective contexts.

Tuesday, 28 January, 20.30: ‘A Corpse on the Shore’, by Aksel Fauzi, Morocco, 2024, 123 min.

A Corpse on the Shore is a captivating Moroccan directed film that takes us into the heart of a disturbing mystery on the shores of the Marchica lagoon. The story plunges us into the life of architect Badr, whose body is found lifeless in a place where the unknown and the unexpected converge. In charge of the investigation, veteran inspector Said is confronted with a series of clues that defy appearances and awaken his intuition, leading him to explore a truth hidden beneath the surface.
