We begin our 2025 film programme with a cycle dedicated to the International Film Festival and Common Memory of Nador, with three sessions on Tuesdays 14, 21 and 28 January that will show us some of the award-winning titles from the last edition.

With their profound narratives and richly constructed characters, these award-winning works reflect the history, social concerns, and environmental challenges of their respective contexts.

The Foundation will inaugurate this cycle on Tuesday 14 January with the screening of the documentary Cuatro Vetas, by director Nonio Parejo, with whom we will be joined that afternoon by the two protagonists of the film, Plácido Rodríguez, and Maribel Adrián, and the festival's documentary filmmaker and communications director, Rafael Guerrero.

A documentary that narrates the conservation work of the horned coot bird species in the Cañada de los Pájaros, a protected area in the province of Seville, close to the Doñana Park. This film was awarded for its cinematographic authenticity, highlighting the importance of cinema as a tool for raising environmental awareness.

The protagonists of the documentary, Plácido Rodríguez, and Maribel Adrián, who have dedicated themselves to the breeding of birds of endangered species, shone for the cinematographic veracity of their lives and their dedication to this endeavour, movingly portrayed in this work.
