Wherever there is innovation, Morocco is also present, and CRITTA is its most prominent representative. This is why the Regional Investment Centre of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region has been chosen as the guest of honour at the 19th edition of the SIANE.

In its 19th edition, the SIANE is consolidating its position as the innovation epicentre where the new industrial skills that will govern the sector are presented each year. In this edition, the largest industry event in the South of France will focus on boosting industrial growth through skills development, the attractiveness of key sectors, the modernisation of facilities, increasing the productivity of companies and the transition towards more sustainable energy sources.

This choice symbolises the growing prominence of Moroccan industry, especially in the northern region. The consolidation of the automotive, electronics, agro-industry and renewable energy sectors have been sufficient reasons for world industry to become aware of Morocco's offer.

Joint action between government and private companies is key to Morocco's development. From this binomial was born the new Charter for Investment in Morocco, whose implementation has driven a boom in foreign investment, attracting companies seeking to boost their business in this North African country.

CRITTA's participation in the fair included the visit of Nadya Talmi, Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Toulouse, whose presence and support were essential to the success of CRITTA's participation in this important event; Mr. Jalil Benabdillah, Vice-President of the Occitanie Region, and Mr. Jean-François Rezeau, President of the Occitanie Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

‘Thank you for your esteemed presence at the SIANE in Toulouse. I am delighted to talk to you and to have been able to gauge the great development potential of your beautiful region, with its large-scale structuring projects. We look forward to further strengthening our ties and exploring opportunities for fruitful collaboration with the Occitanie region,’ said Jalil Benabdillah.

Morocco's presence as guest of honour at the fair is a symptom of the good actions being carried out by the Alawi government and the excellent relations it enjoys with the French government, which benefited greatly after the recognition by French President Emmanuel Macron of the Western Sahara Autonomy Plan as the only viable solution for the resolution of the Saharawi conflict.

In addition to the presence of CRITTA, the event serves as an introduction to the industrial world for young people. More than 250 secondary and high school students were invited to gain a better understanding of the workings of small and large businesses.
