Through this initiative, the company wants to promote the professional qualification of young people in the field of energy, with special dedication to areas of knowledge such as engineering, renewable energy, information technology, sustainability or big data.
Applicants will be able to choose from around twenty top-level universities or technological institutes. These institutions include the University of Edinburgh, the University of Strathclyde and Imperial College London in the United Kingdom; the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and the Polytechnic Universities of Madrid, Valencia and the Basque Country in Spain, among others.
The registration process for this new call for applications began on Wednesday and will remain open until 4 April. Those interested can consult all the conditions on Iberdrola's corporate website and fill in the application form in the ‘Work with us’ section.
In addition to academic record and knowledge of languages, other factors such as CV, interest in the study project and letters of reference will be taken into account when choosing candidates.
To date, nearly 1,000 young people have had the opportunity to boost their professional careers by studying master's and postgraduate degrees and conducting research at prestigious international centres with the support of the Iberdrola Group. For this edition, the scholarships will be awarded to students of Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Big Data, Cybersecurity, Information and Communication Technologies, Business Administration and Digital Marketing.
Supporting a new generation with the highest capabilities
The Iberdrola International Master's Scholarship Programme promotes a generation of professionals with the highest capabilities to prepare for and face the challenges of a green future, including the development of a sustainable energy model. Once they have completed their studies, participants in this programme will have the opportunity to do an internship in the company and to apply for vacancies published by the Iberdrola Group related to their profile.
