Indra will bring to the third edition of Global Mobility Call its latest technological advances for intelligent mobility and the management of large transport infrastructures that are being implemented in countries around the world and that promote a more connected, safe and efficient mobility.

The company's Mobility business will participate as Main Itinerary Partner in a new edition of Global Mobility Call, the international platform organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, which will be held from 19 to 21 November and will serve as a meeting point for the main companies leading the development of sustainable mobility in Spain.

Intelligent roads

This year, the company will present the latest innovations it has incorporated to its In-Mova Traffic platform for traffic and infrastructure management, such as cloud, AI or C-ITS technology for connected cars. Indra has already implemented its platform in countries such as the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and in Spain it is developing a pioneering project on a global scale for the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), whose advances will be shown at the event.

It will also exhibit its dynamic free-flow toll system for managed lanes, which improves traffic flow on busy roads or in access to cities and which is being implemented on different motorways in the United States.

The US has also opted for Indra's Automatic Detection of High Occupancy Vehicles (DAVAO) system with artificial intelligence and deep learning, which automatically detects, in real time, the type of vehicle on the road, as well as the occupants, to prioritise and encourage the use of high occupancy and low emission vehicles, with the consequent improvement in traffic flow, air quality and noise levels.

Technology for public transport and urban mobility

Indra is one of the world's leading ticketing companies and Global Mobility Call will see its technology. The company has won one of the largest contracts in Ireland to manage the entire fare collection system for the country's public transport network.

Indra will incorporate cutting-edge technologies, such as the use of bank cards, mobile phones or smartwatches (EMV) as a means of accessing transport and management through passenger accounts (Account Based Ticketing-ABT), a much more advanced and efficient model that guarantees the best fare for the user.

Indra will also show its In-Mova Transit technology for passenger transport management, both urban and interurban, and will present the advances of the first multi-city platform of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) that is being developed in Spain, which will offer citizens, in an integrated way in a single app, the entire offer of public and private means of transport and low-emission zones of six cities.

Solutions for large transport infrastructures

Indra will also showcase its technology for large transport infrastructures, in which it is a pioneer in the use of AI for real-time monitoring and decision making, as well as for predicting passenger movement patterns.

One of the projects that Indra will unveil at the event is Adif's Station Neural Centre, whose technology is being developed to turn it into the brain that coordinates services at stations throughout Spain.

It will also show the open digital signalling ecosystem it is promoting to improve railway safety and facilitate the harmonisation of these systems in Europe.

Indra's presence at Global Mobility Call reinforces its commitment to the development of more sustainable mobility. Indra is a global leader in smart mobility, with more than 2,500 projects developed in more than 50 countries and more than 100 cities around the world. Indra is also the world's most sustainable company in its sector, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the S&P Sustainability Yearbook. Its traffic and transport technology is present in the daily mobility of more than 78 million people, saves the emission of more than 10 million tonnes of CO2 per year, saves nearly 3,000 lives and saves society more than 6,000 million euros.
