Agreement between Indra and Lecitrailer
Indra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with transport solutions company Lecitrailer to incorporate it as a manufacturer of shelters and spines for its radars and command and control systems.
Strengthening Indra's chain of partners
In this way, Indra is strengthening a chain of partners already made up of more than 1,000 companies throughout Spain, mostly SMEs, which account for 77% of its purchases.
Indra's Executive Chairman, Ángel Escribano, highlighted that ‘with this new agreement, the company is taking a further step forward in strengthening Spanish technological sovereignty and meeting the objective set by the Ministry of Defence to reinforce the defence industrial base throughout the country’.
Lecitrailer's contribution and experience
In this regard, Zaragoza-based Lecitrailer brings more than 25 years of extensive experience as a leader in the domestic market in the design and manufacture of logistics solutions such as tarpaulins, dry cargo vans, refrigerators, container carriers, trailers, customised vehicles and subframes, with a market share of over 25%.
Quality objective for shelters and spines
Indra is thus adding a top-level manufacturer to its value chain with the aim of ensuring that the shelters for its command and control and electronic warfare systems and the spines for its radars are of the highest quality in terms of strength, durability, insulation and equipment protection.
Boosting Lecitrailer's position in the defence market
The technology company is thus helping to boost Lecitrailer's position in the defence market, where it was already operating, relying on its factories, equipped with the latest technologies and automation systems, to speed up the delivery of systems and provide the best service to the Armed Forces.
