Indra has renewed its Quality Management Certifications according to EN 9100/9110/9120 and PECAL 2110/2210/2310, the specific standards for the aerospace, defence and security sectors that guarantee the excellence of its solutions and services in these areas.

The EN 9000 family standards certify that the company operates in accordance with internationally agreed and recognised practices for aviation, space and defence organisations, as well as maintenance in the aeronautical industry. The PECAL certifications required by NATO ensure quality in design, development and production.

Indra has once again passed the external evaluation process to which it regularly submits its management and industrial processes to ensure the maximum quality and reliability of the systems it develops for these sectors, to improve efficiency and gain competitiveness, with the ultimate goal of offering the best product and service to its customers.

These certifications are associated with 14 Indra work centres related to the Defence and Security business throughout Spain, and recognise the commitment to quality of the company's management, businesses, production areas and other corporate areas involved.

The renewal of these certifications is part of Indra's commitment to customer satisfaction and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. In fact, the sector's main customers and companies require their suppliers to comply with these standards, as is the case of the Spanish Ministry of Defence, the different organisations of NATO countries and other international customers of Indra around the world.

"Compliance with these requirements allows us to maintain a system that ensures a high level of quality in each of the projects and operations we develop in the company, as well as a better adaptation and response to the expectations of our customers," explains Félix Torres, director of Indra's Defence Quality Engineering.

Indra is one of the eight national companies with the three specific certifications of the Defence sector: PECAL 2110, PECAL 2210 and PECAL 2310. The EN 9000 family standards are the benchmark for quality management systems in the Aerospace field and are based on the ISO 9001 standard, to which sector-specific requirements are added.

As part of its ongoing commitment to quality, customer requirements and industry specifications, Indra has also achieved NADCAP certification for the production of electronic modules in the equipment manufactured at its Aranjuez work centre. At present, only two companies in Spain have this international certification, which places Indra at the highest global standards of electronic production and as a top-level supplier in the aerospace and defence sector.
