Indra has been included for 19 consecutive years in this renowned global sustainability index, which is increasingly demanding and to which more and more companies worldwide aspire.

Indra scored 100 points in energy efficiency, labour practices and privacy, in addition to excelling in climate strategy, talent, occupational safety, transparency, business ethics and risk management.

Indra Group, the holding company that promotes technological progress, of which Indra and Minsait are part, strengthened its position among the world's most sustainable companies and as a leader in the technology sector by once again achieving a global rating of 87 points, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World.

Indra stands out as the only company in its sector to remain for 19 consecutive years in this renowned global sustainability index, to which more and more companies from all over the world aspire and which is renewed every year, each time with greater complexity and incorporating new and more demanding requirements.

In the corporate governance pillar, the technology company has achieved a score of 100 points in key areas such as transparency and reporting, business ethics, tax strategy and risk management.

On the social front, it ranks in the 100th percentile by obtaining the highest score in labour practices and privacy protection (100th percentile) and an excellent position in the areas of occupational health and safety. It also stands out for its work in attracting and retaining talent.

In the environmental area, Indra Group achieved the highest score in energy efficiency (100 points) and stands out for its climate strategy, thanks to its commitment to decarbonisation and to bringing forward its emissions reduction targets by 10 years to neutralise emissions in its own operations by 2030 and in the value chain by 2040.

‘Sustainability is a key, cross-cutting pillar for all our roadmap objectives defined in our Leading the Future strategic plan. Our commitment is to improve ESG performance and support our customers in the challenges of the 2030 Agenda, facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy and driving a positive impact on people and the planet,’ says Manuel Ausaverri, Chief Strategy Officer of Indra Group.

Indra Group has also just been included in the ranking ‘World's Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025’, prepared by the US magazine Time and the market research company Statista, as one of the best companies in the world in sustainable growth.

In addition to seeking the best ESG performance and being an ally of its customers to make them more sustainable, Indra Group extends its commitment to its suppliers. To this end, it has launched the Focus ESG Plan to promote the contracting of the most sustainable suppliers, who are capable of measuring and minimising their impact on the environment, respect human rights and promote fair and ethical labour practices.

Indra Group is also working to adapt to the new EU regulatory framework, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), by updating its reporting practices, adopting new technologies, training its staff and collaborating with external auditors to guarantee the transparency and quality of the information it provides on ESG matters.

Sustainable DNA

The Indra Group's activity is focused on generating value through the development of solutions that combine innovation and sustainability. A good example of this is the company's commitment to train 100% of its design and product development engineers in eco-design by 2025, and to adopt these criteria in all new hardware products designed from 2026 to reduce the environmental impact of the solutions.

Indra Group has already started to work along these lines in Indra's Air Traffic Management (ATM) business with the eco-design of the PSR2D Radar, which has reduced its environmental impact by more than 13% and its emissions by 15 tonnes of CO2 per year and by more than 260 tonnes over its useful life.

Globally, approximately 13,000 listed companies have applied for inclusion in the DJSI World 2024, of which 321 have been selected, including 16 Spanish companies.

With this recognition, Indra Group reaffirms its position as one of the most prepared companies to face the economic, social and environmental challenges of the future, consolidating its position as a reference in sustainability at a global level.
