Karim Zidane: ‘The cohesion between Moroccan and Spanish investors reflects future opportunities’
The Moroccan Minister of Investment highlighted the good relations between Moroccan and Spanish business leaders during his visit to Madrid

Karim Zidane, Minister of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy of Morocco, participated in the forum ‘Morocco & Spain: Investing Together for a Sustainable & Shared Future’, held on 29 April at the Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid.
At the end of the event, Minister Zidane spoke to the media, including Atalayar. ‘It has been an honour to organise this high-level meeting to present Morocco and the investment opportunities that exist in our country’.
Karim Zidane emphasised Morocco's role as a gateway to the African continent: ‘You all know that Morocco is the gateway to Africa and a country that welcomes investment with excellence thanks to its infrastructure, its high level of skills, the energy of its youth and the incentives offered by the government to promote investment, whether local, national or international.’
In his remarks, the minister highlighted the cohesion between Moroccan and Spanish investors, ‘which reflects the horizon, possibilities and opportunities that will arise in the future.’
Zidane also referred to the assistance provided by Morocco during the blackout that occurred throughout Spain on 28 April: ‘During the energy crisis and blackout experienced by Spain and some neighbouring countries, we witnessed a demonstration of cohesion and solidarity with Morocco as an ideal partner, which played its part in resolving the problem.’

In the minister's opinion, ‘the blackout was a small test of how imperative international cooperation is between neighbouring countries, in order to find solutions together, face the challenges we face and take advantage of the opportunities we have, in a win-win dynamic.’

Finally, Zidane highlighted the role played by the royal initiative in the country's development: ‘Morocco plays a very important role under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who has placed our country at the centre of international investment, with all the means available for a successful future for all investors’.
