Launch of the 2nd edition of the international open innovation competition "TDC 2023"
The Regional Investment Centre (RIC) of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima invites you to contribute to the development of the region by proposing solutions to challenges of territorial attractiveness, sustainable economy and intelligence and transformation in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.
Following the tremendous success of the inaugural 2022 edition, the international open innovation competition "Smart Territory, Investment Development & Entrepreneurship Digital Challenge TDC" witnessed the registration of 1,162 candidates and the submission of 232 projects from territories within the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, other regions of Morocco and more than twenty countries from five continents. Building on this achievement, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima LRC is launching the second edition of this unique and community-driven competition, targeting laureates and students from top schools, start-ups, national and foreign investors, as well as project initiators. This initiative aims to:
- Foster an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit within the region.
- Contribute to the economic momentum and strengthen the regional offer.
- To provide personalised and community-oriented support to all project initiators.
This new edition, organised digitally through the Community Virtual Integrated Support Hub Manar Al Moustatmir, will focus on the new challenges and opportunities identified by the regional investment ecosystem:
- Support for territorial animation and public spaces
- Industry and logistics
- Blue economy
- Sports industry
- Green economy
- Ecotourism
Throughout the four months of the competition to help participants structure their projects. This support will be provided through seminars, hybrid B2B meetings and numerous joint creative and initiative workshops conducted in three languages: Arabic, French and English. The aim is to identify and support innovative and pioneering solutions that address the region's development imperatives in all sectors.

The first prize is worth 150,000 Moroccan dirhams, the second prize 100,000 dirhams and the third prize 70,000 dirhams.
