Rethinking a sustainable Moroccan territory, based on the promotion of technological, economic and cultural innovation, the CRI launches the international Territory Development Challenge 2023, which aims to promote the potential of the five provinces of the regions of Tangier, Tetouan and Al Hoceima to develop an attractive, dynamic and digitised territory.

Through this very important appointment for project holders, the Regional Investment Centre invites all companies and startups, entrepreneurs, students, professionals and anyone with an innovative idea to participate in this Challenge, and submit their ideas before 29 February 2024.

It is an innovation competition that aims to support participants and finalists throughout the realisation stages of their projects. Projects wishing to participate in this challenge have to practice in economic areas such as tourism, digitalisation and creative industries being fields of great interest at the level of the region.

The TDC2023 challenge is an opportunity for project holders in all its categories especially young people and women to present their innovative project ideas capable of contributing to the economic and social development of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.

The Territory Development Challenge 2023 is open to six themes of major importance for the region: territorial animation and support for public spaces, the sports industry, ecotourism, the blue economy, the green economy, industry and logistics.

It should be noted that each of these six themes has its own challenges, opportunities and strengths, and each candidate has to choose the theme that best suits their project and aligns with their vision.

In addition to the often personalised accompaniment, the TDC2023 challenge offers many other benefits and provides special prizes for the three winners: the first prize is €15,000, the second prize is €10,000 and the third prize is €7,000.

The Tangier Investment Centre provides the finalists with business and professional coaching sessions conducted by its experts and partners. It guarantees the winners access to a network of investors, clients and stakeholders.

This competition will give the winners visibility and recognition of their project on a regional scale; it will also provide them with the opportunity and the conditions to make a positive impact in the region with a view to expanding throughout the country.

To participate in the TDC2023 Challenge, the project must be submitted online by 29 February 2024. Thus, a business vision and a video presentation of the project must be submitted. The selection process will consist of three stages: pre-selection, semi-final and final.

Project idea holders should not miss this opportunity to turn their project into reality.  In fact, those interested in the entrepreneurial world should sign up for TDC2023 and become part of the innovation ecosystem in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.

It is to remember that the Challenge is open to everyone, be it a project manager, developer, architect, designer, student, or a startup looking for the best innovative ideas that can efficiently contribute to the development of the attractiveness of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region.
