Morocco, Premier Partner of the World Travel Show in London

Morocco will be the Premier Partner of the World Travel Show in London, one of the most important tourism fairs in the world, to be held from 6 to 8 November in London. The country will have a high visibility at the event, where it will present its varied and attractive tourism offer through different exhibitors and shows.
World Travel Market London, with more than four decades of history, is the pinnacle of the global travel trade, claiming to be "the home of the global travel trade, the world's most influential travel and tourism event. WTM London brings together the international leisure travel community; providing inspiration, education, sourcing and benchmarking for travel professionals, while giving exhibitors a place to do business and showcase their services to the international press".
The Alawi Kingdom participated in the show last year, winning the award for "best stand design". Its presence at the World Travel Show is part of its plan to reinforce its tourism leadership in Africa and the Mediterranean, and to expand its segments and markets. Morocco expects to welcome more than 20 million visitors this year, surpassing the 13 million it achieved in 2019, before the health crisis.

To this end, Morocco has invested heavily in upgrading its tourism infrastructure, such as airports, hotels, resorts and cultural and natural attractions. The Ministry of Tourism launched a $580m investment plan in March to boost the tourism sector until 2026, which it plans to create 200,000 new jobs in the coming years.
Morocco has also been promoting its unique assets, such as its rich history, culture, gastronomy and hospitality, as well as its varied landscapes, from the Atlantic coast to the Sahara desert. As part of its 2023-2026 Action Plan, "Light in Action", which is part of the global campaign "Morocco, Land of Light", which aims to project the Kingdom's tourism image, the Moroccan government signed agreements with two US travel agencies in early June. These agreements will enable them to promote Moroccan tourism through their services.
The Moroccan government has also adopted health and safety measures to ensure safe and trouble-free travel for its visitors in the midst of the pandemic. Since June 2021, Morocco has allowed all fully vaccinated visitors from all countries to enter its borders. To streamline entry procedures, Morocco has also implemented a digital health card.
According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, 2.9 million tourists from nations such as Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy and the United States arrived in the country during the first three months of this year, setting a new record for arrivals during the first four months of the year.
