  1. A comprehensive solution for a changing market
  2. Benefits for operators and drivers
  3. A strategic step to transform the payment experience

Nuek, a technology company specialising in payment infrastructure owned by Minsait (Indra Group), and Visa, the global leader in digital payments, have announced a strategic agreement to accelerate innovation in payments for the mobility and fleet sector.

Thanks to this collaboration, Nuek joins the Visa Ready for Fleet programme as a certified partner and issuer. This will enable it to offer service station operators and mobility companies the possibility of launching Visa Fleet 2.0 card programmes in an agile and scalable manner. Visa Ready for Fleet combines access to Visa's global network with advanced tools for expense control, analytics and operational optimisation.

A comprehensive solution for a changing market

The agreement responds to the growing need for digitisation, flexibility and efficiency on the part of fleet operators and fuel retailers. In this regard, Visa Ready for Fleet brings together the key partners needed to implement a comprehensive fleet management programme: issuers, processors, expense control tools, sustainability solutions and Visa Fleet 2.0 payment technology, among others.

Within this ecosystem, Visa provides the payment technology and its global network, while Nuek contributes card issuance capabilities and technology integration, enabling customers to implement comprehensive, customised solutions that fit their needs.

‘We are very excited to welcome Nuek to the Visa Ready for Fleet programme,’ said Eduardo Prieto, general manager of Visa in Spain. ‘Their expertise in innovative payment solutions, combined with Visa's global network and our advanced data capabilities, provides a solid foundation for developing modern, scalable solutions that can deliver significant value not only to fleet companies, but also to key sectors such as energy, oil and leasing,’ he added.

‘With this alliance,’ explains Enrique Álvarez, Chief Growth Officer at Nuek, "we are not only accompanying Visa in the modernisation of payments for fleets, but we are also providing a unique differential: the combination of our own issuing capacity with a comprehensive payment platform that unifies issuing and acquiring in the same environment. In Europe, we have already transformed payment management in highly complex sectors. In the hydrocarbons and energy sector, we already operate with key players and have a consolidated presence that endorses our execution capacity. This now allows us to bring to the European market a robust and scalable proposal that connects expense control, instant card issuance and advanced analytics. It also positions us as the technology partner capable of simplifying complexity and accelerating digitalisation in mobility."

Benefits for operators and drivers

According to Visa data, 80% of fleet operators use multiple tools to manage mobility payments. Visa Ready for Fleet enables:

  • Unification of all mobility-related payments into a single payment method.
  • Access to enriched information to improve analytics and decision-making.
  • Reduction of the risk of misuse thanks to advanced control technology.

For their part, drivers, who currently use up to five different payment methods—including their personal cards—will benefit from:

  • A single solution for all on-the-road expenses: fuel, maintenance, tolls, etc.
  • Instant card issuance for emergencies or specific needs.
  • Elimination of manual expense receipts, thanks to the digitisation of the entire process.

A strategic step to transform the payment experience

For Nuek, this alliance with Visa represents a strategic step in its goal of transforming the payment experience in key sectors such as mobility. By joining the Visa Ready for Fleet programme, Nuek not only contributes its issuing capacity, but also a robust technology platform that simplifies payment management for fleets, integrating automated expense control, instant issuance of physical and virtual cards, and advanced analytics.

With a solid track record in Latin America and a focus on integrating the physical and digital worlds, Nuek contributes to a more efficient, inclusive and scalable mobility ecosystem, bringing to the European market a proven proposition that connects technology, proximity and operational efficiency.
