The impact of new energies on mobility, under debate

Addressing the real impact of new energies on mobility, analysing how they can contribute to sustainability and explaining the degree of maturity of each of them are the main objectives of the 1st Energy and Sustainable Mobility Meeting to be held this Thursday, 21 March, organised by Aeescam, Etecnic, Madrid Foro Empresarial, Cofis and Nebrija University.

During this meeting, whose programme includes 3 presentations and 5 round tables, specialists and entrepreneurs related to the sector will present and analyse issues of great interest such as the European Union's CO2 reduction targets, energy storage and distribution, business in the field of mobility and energy for transport, among others.

This conference, the result of public-private collaboration, will be inaugurated by the Vice-Rector for Academic Organisation and Teaching Staff, Luis Díaz Marcos, and the President of Madrid Foro Empresarial, Hilario Alfaro.  The first of the lectures will be given by professors Rafael Barea del Cerro and Carlos Gumiel, who will analyse the direct consequences that the European Union's objectives for the reduction of CO2 will have on our lives. The other two conferences will deal with "Electric recharging, a business opportunity", by Jorge Ríos Cortés, founder and CEO of ETECNIC; and "Energy, sustainability and physics" by Juan Ignacio Álvarez, president of the Official College of Physicists.

"What are the energies of the future for mobility?" is the title of the first round table, which, moderated by the Secretary General of AEESCAM, Víctor García Nebreda, will be attended by Caterina Tormo (Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía), Francisco Laveron (Iberdrola), Inés Cardenal (Plataforma de Ecocombustibles) and Miguel Ángel Castro (SácaleGas-Enagás).

The meeting will be brought to a close at around 4.40 p.m. by Jaime Martínez Muñoz, Director General for Economic and Industrial Promotion of the Regional Ministry of Economy and Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid.
