The Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region hosts a business meeting with a Spanish delegation on red meat and dairy investments

On 13 November 2024, Tangier hosted an important Spanish delegation from the red meat, white meat and dairy sectors with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in these key sectors.
The event, jointly organised by the Regional Investment Centre of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region (CRI TTA), the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM TTA) and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES), was a significant boost to promote investment in a booming agri-food sector.
The meeting provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and strategic reflection through thematic panels, round tables and B2B meetings. Experts from both countries, together with institutional representatives, analysed the challenges and opportunities of the agro-industrial sector, which is key to Morocco's food security, economic growth and job creation. The focus was on identifying innovative solutions that reinforce synergies between Morocco and Spain, promoting a more prosperous future for both.

The meeting addressed the following topics:
- Regional supply and investment incentives, in which the advantages of the TTA region as a privileged destination for investment in the red meat, white meat and dairy sectors were highlighted. In this regard, representatives of public institutions and industry experts presented tax benefits, investment incentives and specific opportunities for national and international investors.

- The event, which focused on the latest developments in food safety and quality regulations, as well as existing support measures to help companies in the agri-food sector. Experts shared support and funding opportunities designed to encourage sustainable investment and boost the competitiveness of companies operating in this strategic sector.
On the other hand, an important part of this event was dedicated to B2B meetings, partnership opportunities and strategic collaborations between Moroccan and Spanish companies, which allowed for direct exchanges, networking and the conclusion of specific partnerships.

These sessions favoured the creation of synergies and the initiation of specific projects in the red and white meat and dairy sectors, thus contributing to the integration of value chains and the consolidation of bilateral trade relations.

The agri-food sector in Morocco, and especially in the TTA region, is experiencing accelerated growth, with particular emphasis on the meat and dairy sectors, making it a key driver of regional economic development. This meeting, focusing on issues such as sustainability, innovation and financing, has provided a valuable opportunity to leverage long-term investments, promote industrial transformation.

The initiative will contribute to consolidate economic ties between the two countries and open new perspectives for companies in the agri-food sector, consolidating a future of growth and cooperation.
