AI revolutionises the Human Resources sector in Morocco

Two leading organisations, LinkedIn and Trusted Advisor, came together in Casablanca for an event to address the important issue of Human Resources.
This key event brought together more than a hundred Human Resources directors in a colloquium on the application of AI in the sector. The aim was to provide Moroccan companies with the tools they need to cope with the changing dynamics of the world of work and consolidate their position in the techniques that are driving the digital age.
Digitalisation is transforming the field of human resources in a world where well-being and the growing number of hybrid jobs are becoming increasingly significant. Emphasising how this applies to Moroccan companies, Trusted Advisors CEO Cyril Aware highlighted the importance of maximising and refining the recruitment process and developing cutting-edge technological skills, particularly those related to the integration of AI.

The ambitions are also high. Fatima-Azahra Jamal, acting as regional director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at LinkedIn Solutions, has stated that by 2030, 70% of future skills will be influenced by AI. This is demonstrated by the presence on LinkedIn of LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Learning, which streamline the recruitment of professionals, customise hiring and define training pathways.
According to the CEO of Trusted Solutions, Meryem Loukili, human resources directors (HRDs) in the Kingdom of Morocco predict high benefits from the use of digitalisation and AI. Enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer experiences is the central goal, but cultural barriers and personal data security are aspects to consider in this scheme.
In particular, the new LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Learning tools have a responsible and ethical structure that complies with international data protection regulations. An example of the latter is the General Data Protection Regulation. It is also emphasised that, with regard to new technological advantages, human personnel cannot be replaced, but rather guided in their progress and equipped with the knowledge to generate high-value strategies.

The event acted as a proactive platform, a hub for reflection and a catalyst for HR managers and the dissemination of these new ideas and projections. First, LinkedIn gave a presentation on the Moroccan market situation. This was followed by concrete examples of new AI implementations. Next, national corporations shared their experiences to highlight the successes generated by these innovations. Finally, a round table discussion was held with HR experts to discuss the steps to be taken to achieve effective digital transformation in Morocco. The entire debate focused on innovation processes, selection strategies and motivating examples.
The data is clear for the Kingdom of Morocco, with LinkedIn revealing a 10% increase in job searches, a 114% increase in people available to join the workforce, and an increase in employer engagement with new talent prior to hiring.
This event shows Morocco's path towards the adoption of advanced digital tools and its plan to adapt to developments in human resources, technology and human capital management departments.
The partnership between LinkedIn and Trusted Advisors is an initiative that supports the coordination of skilled global professionals and aims to increase market accuracy. It also serves to position Morocco's recognised and increasingly relevant market at the forefront of international innovation practices in human resources, while promoting the talent and dynamism of Moroccan youth and highlighting the appeal of public digitisation policies and initiatives, such as the Maroc Digital 2030 strategy and the growth of the Moroccan IT sector.
All of this stems from strategic alignment and a strong belief in the current role of AI in redefining and supporting transformations on a national and international scale. Knowledge of these new technologies has become a defining factor for evolution.
