Bolsonaro is negative for coronavirus almost three weeks after being infected

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, 65, has tested negative for the coronavirus, a disease that was detected on July 7 and has kept him confined to his official residence ever since.
"RT-PCR for Sars-Cov 2: negative. Good morning everyone," Bolsonaro himself wrote this Saturday on his social networks, under a photo that shows him smiling and holding a box of hydroxychloroquine.
This controversial anti-malarial, whose effectiveness against the coronavirus is questioned by most of the scientific community, Bolsonaro said he has used it since he was diagnosed with COVID-19, a disease that he once called a "little crack".
Since testing positive for the coronavirus, Bolsonaro has continued to dispatch by video conference from his official residence in Brasilia, where he said he was kept isolated and had no contact with his family.
For a week now, and despite having tested positive in three tests carried out in a fortnight's time, the ultra-right-wing leader has been out in the gardens of his official residence to talk to some of his supporters, although separated by a small water channel about three metres wide.
Bolsonaro did not clarify when he plans to resume his official schedule, although it is believed that it will be as of next Monday and that he will spend the rest of the weekend in repose.
Brazil is the second most affected country by the pandemic worldwide, only behind the United States, and according to the latest official balance sheet, it has accumulated a total of 85,238 deaths and over 2.3 million cases.
