CompoLider and Atalayar offer analysis on the final race for the US Presidency

With two weeks to go before the US elections, there are many unknowns to be cleared up after a most curious campaign. With one of the candidates infected with the coronavirus, the debates have been cancelled and modified. Finally, Donald Trump and Joe Biden will meet on 22 October for the final debate.

In order to be able to attend this debate with a global view of the situation of US politics, CompoLider is organising the event 'US Elections: final sprint to the Presidency'. This event will take place on 21 October at 19:00 via Zoom.

The debate will be moderated by the CEO of CompoLider, Allende Martín, Napolitan Award to Influential Woman Compol 2020 by The Washington Academy of Political Arts and Sciences. Martín will interview and lead a debate with the presence of Spanish ambassadors Javier Rupérez Rubio, Inocencio F. Arias and Juan Antonio Yánez Barnuevo as speakers.

The main objective of the event is to analyse the situation of the campaign, the mistakes and successes, the state of the candidates, the US electoral system, the relevance of the 'swing states' and the latest data from the surveys carried out in the United States to try to guess who will be the next occupant of the Oval Office.
The most recent polls indicate that Joe Biden has a significant and firm lead over President Donald Trump in the US electoral race, both in the national polls and in those of the so-called "swing states".

But in previous elections, the figures painted a similar picture. With a media campaign against the figure of Donald Trump, he finally managed to take the lead and govern the United States for four years.

Election analysts have been raising the odds of Trump's defeat by being re-elected. Nate Silver's blog, Fivethirtyeight.com, currently gives Biden an 87% chance of victory, while Decision Desk HQ puts him at 83.5%.

A combination of strategic victories in states still in play could renew his mandate without winning the popular vote. But that same uniqueness may produce the opposite effect: a Democratic tidal wave in favour of Joe Biden such as has not been seen in a generation.

To resolve these unknowns, Atalayar magazine invites you to attend the debate organised by CompoLider on Wednesday 21 at 7 p.m. Attendees who wish to attend the event online will need to register at this link to receive the access link: http://bit.ly/3dIm3qF

Javier Rupérez Rubio, Spain's ambassador to the United States to the CSCE and NATO, will also be present. He has also been the UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Security Council's Anti-Terrorism Committee.

The event will be attended by Inocencio F. Arias, who was also Secretary of State and Spanish Ambassador to the UN. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he directed the Diplomatic Information Office and was spokesman with the governments of the UCD, PSOE and PP. He has also been director general of Real Madrid.
