Daesh recruiter arrested with Moroccan collaboration

Spain's national police announced on Friday the arrest in Pamplona of an individual for his alleged involvement in crimes of terrorist collaboration, including indoctrination, recruitment and enlistment in favor of the terrorist organization Daesh.
This operation was carried out jointly by the Directorate General of Information and the Pamplona Provincial Information Brigade, and with the collaboration of the Almeria Provincial Information Brigade, the National Intelligence Centre (CNI), Morocco's Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) and Europol, the Spanish police said in a statement.

Influenced by the postulates of Daesh, the defendant disseminated, through his social networks, radical and violent jihadist material encouraging terrorist actions, the same source states, adding that the individual pledged allegiance to Daesh thus acknowledging his membership of the terrorist organization, aligning himself with its objectives and carrying out activities in its favor.
During the investigation, the detainee maintained a massive and frenetic virtual activity in line with his jihadist ideology, according to the Spanish police.
Thus, he searched for, consumed and then distributed to other users thousands of multimedia files of a radical nature, containing executions, assassinations, exaltations of leaders, etc.
In the course of the operation, Spanish police seized hundreds of terrorist self-training manuals relating to the manufacture of explosives, detonators and poisons, as well as advice on how to conceal terrorist activities on the Internet, carry out secure financial transactions, use and handle all kinds of weapons, recruit and enlist new fighters, among other things, the press release concludes.
