Dutch police investigate shooting at Saudi Arabian embassy in The Hague

his morning, the Saudi Arabian embassy was shot at. No one was injured, but there were about 20 bullet holes in the front of the diplomatic delegation building.
Calls from neighbours alerted the police to the sound of the shooting. "Shortly before 6 a.m., we received a message saying that a shot had been fired in a building in The Hague. Nobody was injured," said police spokesman Steven van Santen on Twitter.
According to the Dutch press, there are many bullet holes in the building and several broken windows. However, no one was injured because the embassy was closed at the time.
The reason for the shooting is not yet known. Several bullet casings were discovered at the scene after the incident, police said, according to the Dutch news agency ANP.

Local media reported 20 bullet impacts on the building and showed images of holes in the windows. Police have not yet confirmed the number of shots fired.
According to police sources, officers have cordoned off access to the premises where forensic teams are conducting an investigation.
The incident occurred a day after an explosive device was detonated in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the Armistice, on 11 November 1918, in the presence of Western diplomats, including French and British diplomats. Two people were injured in the attack, a Greek consular employee and a Saudi policeman.
The official Saudi news agency reported that the embassy had witnessed a "cowardly" shooting.
The embassy condemned the attack and praised the Dutch authorities for their prompt response, saying that it hopes to investigate the circumstances, to know the results and to bring those responsible for the incident to justice. Saudi Arabia also urged its citizens in the Netherlands to exercise caution.
