La Comisión de Derechos Humanos del MSP denuncia la agresión perpetrada contra la esposa de Fadel Braica

On 20 May, Uleya Saadi, member of the Central Committee of the MSP and wife of the human rights activist Fadel Braica, was attacked in the street on her way to a language academy in the city of El Ayoun.

The aggression was perpetrated by individuals, probably belonging to groups fine to the Polisario, in retaliation for the case opened in Spanish courts against the Polisario leaders for torture and arbitrary detention suffered by Braica in the summer of 2019 during a visit to the refugee camps in Tindouf.

Previously, measures of pressure and moral lynching were taken against Lamaadla El Kori's family in the refugee camps by removing them from the list of beneficiaries of aid and foodstuffs provided by humanitarian organisations to Sahrawi refugees. Lamadla El Kori, who is also a member of the MSP, is "reproached" for having claimed justice for the arrest and execution of his father in Polisario prisons in the 1980s.

The Human Rights Commission of the MSP, while denouncing these practices of radical organisations and ideologies, reiterates its solidarity with the victims of repression at the hands of the Polisario and its unalterable commitment to continue defending human rights and promoting a peaceful solution to the problem of Western Sahara.
