Mohamed VI dirige un mensaje para hallar una solución a la cuestión palestina

Mohammed VI addressed a message to Cheikh Niang, president of the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People. "We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our absolute solidarity with the Palestinian people and our support for their legitimate right to establish their independent and viable state, coexisting in peace and security with Israel," Mohamed VI said.
In this message, the Alawite kingdom reaffirmed its firm and clear position, as the King assures us, referring to its support for the Palestinian cause, which requires no other solution than negotiations between the two states, Palestine, and Israel, as "the only way to reach a definitive, permanent and global solution to this conflict". In this sense, he referred to this prosperity must be found in compliance with the two-state solution of 4 June 1967 within the international legal framework.

Mohammed VI also alluded to the fact that these declarations are not exclusive to the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people but are something that has been emphasised for several years. His position has already been demonstrated on other occasions, as he argues with the message sent by Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian state in December 2020.
In addition, the King of Morocco, in his capacity as president of the Al-Qods Committee, insisted on personally ensuring that all possible efforts and available means are made to maintain peace and coexistence in the areas where the three monotheistic faiths meet. He recalled the Al-Qods Appeal signed with Pope Francis in March 2019 to reinforce his message on the Palestinian conflict.

From Rabat, it is regretted the stagnation that Palestinian reconciliation is experiencing and the division that exists to solve the conflict. "We want to renew the invitation to our Palestinian brothers, with their different belongings, to discard their differences and accelerate reconciliation."
Peace talks have been stalled since 2014 and the conflict remains dormant, despite a decrease in bombing in the Gaza area. Conflict-related deaths between 2011 and 2021 now stand at 3,572 Palestinians and 198 Israelis, including 820 children, according to data provided by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
On Monday, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the UN has also expressed its position on the conflict, stating that it is "a significant challenge to international peace and security", and defends "a peaceful resolution of the conflict based on international law and United Nations resolutions". UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has added his voice to the message of finding a solution between the two states.
