These are the 5th police district of Rabat, the police district of Riyadh, the 24th police district of the police prefecture of Marrakech, as well as the creation of a mobile emergency police unit in the police prefecture of Kénitra, two canine brigades in the cities of Kénitra and Larache, and a mobile police unit in the city of Settat.

These 13 new security structures are created to reinforce the structures dedicated to local policing and to ensure the adaptation of services to urban expansion.

The Rabat Police Prefecture has also been reinforced, with the creation of the 5th police district and the Riyad police district, as well as the 24th police district under the Marrakech Police Prefecture, bringing the total number of police districts nationwide to 454, covering all urban areas under the jurisdiction of the Sûreté Nationale.

At the same time, the DGSN has continued to expand the use of mobile emergency police units, which operate under the supervision of the command and coordination rooms. This year, the inauguration of the mobile emergency police unit of the Kénitra police headquarters, in permanent operation, marked a significant step forward. Composed of mobile teams of motorcyclists and emergency vehicles, this unit responds effectively to citizens' distress calls, ensuring rapid intervention. These vehicles are constantly monitored and supervised by the competent services at central and regional level.

Throughout the year, the command and coordination rooms handled a total of 19,722,041 emergency calls via telephone line 19, resulting in 867,042 interventions on public roads. At the same time, police mobile emergency units responded to 448,256 calls on public roads. In addition to emergency calls, citizens requested information, and some calls were of a negative nature.

In the same context, uniformed brigades conducted 494 mobile and pedestrian patrols on public roads, for a total of 529,164 interventions in the field, ranging from arresting persons involved in criminal cases to issuing official reports on traffic violations and maintaining public order.

The DGSN has also inaugurated citizen reception areas, in collaboration with the ministry responsible for digital transition and administrative reform, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

These reception areas were initially installed at the identity data registration center of the Témara provincial district, at the foreigners section of the General Intelligence Prefecture of the Casablanca police prefecture and at the headquarters of the 5th police district of the Mehdia provincial district, in the city of Kénitra, pending the next deployment of this experience on a national scale.

These reception areas for Moroccan and foreign citizens are distinguished by facilities that combine the beauty of the interior architecture with an exemplary reception and orientation environment, with the presence of police officers, men and women, well qualified to guide the users of this public service.

Equipped with an integrated information system using computers connected to specialized systems and interconnected with scanning devices, such as optical scanners and digital fingerprint, card and identity data readers, these centers aim to promote police services by considerably reducing the time required to receive and process user requests.

The year 2023 has also been marked by the reinforcement of territorial units with new equipment, thanks in particular to the creation of two police canine brigades (trained police dogs) at the level of the police prefecture of Kénitra and the provincial district of Larache, as well as a mobile police unit in the city of Settat, in addition to three units specialized in traffic accidents in the police districts of Benguerir and Tangier-Beni Makada and another in the police station of Ait Melloul.
