Marruecos envía ayuda humanitaria con urgencia a Cisjordania y Gaza

King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, gave instructions to send urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad said on Friday.
This humanitarian aid, consisting of 40 tonnes, consists of basic foodstuffs, emergency medicines and blankets, the ministry said in a statement, stressing that the humanitarian aid will be transported by aircraft of the Royal Armed Forces.
The decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, comes within the framework of the Kingdom's continued support for the just Palestinian cause and its permanent solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people, it added.
The Kingdom of Morocco had denounced, in the strongest terms, the violent events in the occupied Palestinian territories, specifying that the continuation of these practices would only increase the factors of escalation and tension, as well as the prevalence of hate speech, thus diminishing the chances of peace in the region.
The Kingdom of Morocco, which places the Palestinian cause at the top of its concerns, remains faithful to its commitment to the realisation of the two-state solution, living side by side in peace and security, through the creation of a Palestinian state within the borders of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
