The MSP's PR officer, Mohamed Cherif, met with several Senegalese parties, including the Socialist Party.

The talks focused on bilateral relations and the situation in northwest Africa and the Sahel.

At the meeting with the Senegalese socialist party, the head of the MSP explained his intention to join the Socialist International, requesting its support for the initiative.

In a letter addressed to the leaders of the Senegalese party, the MSP official points out that the Saharawi movement created in April 2020 "strives to contribute to a peaceful solution to the Sahara problem". This is why "we ask for the support of your party, which would reflect your commitment to peace, justice and solidarity".

With regard to the request for membership of the Socialist International, the MSP official asked the Senegalese socialist party to support the process until the MSP becomes an observer member of the body that brings together all the progressive political forces in the world.
