New Hezbollah leader vows to follow predecessor's ‘war plan’
Naim Qassen succeeded Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an IDF attack

The new leader of Lebanon's Shi'ite Hezbollah movement, Naim Qassem, vowed to maintain the ‘war plan’ of his predecessor, Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israeli forces last month.
‘My work programme is a continuation of the work programme of our leader, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah,’ Qassem said in his first remarks as Hezbollah's leader, vowing to carry on with his predecessor's ‘war plan‘.
Hezbollah, at war with Israel, announced Qassem's appointment as its new leader on Tuesday, more than a month after its historic leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli bombing in a Beirut suburb.
